Here we go, another rerun.
So far, so repetitious. If either of these guys quits repeating his cue cards it might be worth watching. Also it'd be nice if they actually ANSWER THE F****** QUESTION!!! |

So on a side note someone said something to me that was very disturbing. Someone told me they were voting for Obamma (nothing wrong with that) but when I asked why they said because they were tired of all the failed WHITE presidents and its time a black man should give it a try. I was so shocked I could not even retort. I hope no one gets offended by that but I had to get that off my chest. I still dont know what to think of that person. |

It's interesting that the news media paints almost all Republicans as stupid.
Dan Quayle spelled potato with an e on the end, potatoe. That was siezed on and forever cast him as dumb as a brick. Barack Obama says he's visited all 57 states and what do we hear? Nothing. I believe there are 57 muslim states, but we won't go there. Joe Biden says that FDR addressed people on TV about the market crash... only 2 problems, FDR wasn't president at the time, and TV wasn't available to the public. Is Joe too stupid to be president? Of course not, he's a Democrat. Bush - stupid (Well, ok, they might be right there). Bush I - media paints him out of touch and not bright. Reagan - stupid according to the media. Ford - stupid according to the media. Nixon - Ok, they didn't paint him as stupid, he had other issues. My point, it's part of the media playbook. They can't believe anyone could be bright and a Republican. Palin has been a mother, a mayor and a governor. Mrs. Palin has had to mix it up in politics at a high level and has excelled, (80% approval). I would suggest Canuck Bob still lives in mommie's basement and his biggest achievement is most likely drinking a case of Labatt and eating 2 pizzas at one sitting. |

I agree 100% with you guys, but it still don't help me from fretting over this Obama guy winning. John needs to come up with some super-whammy the last weekend of this month to really charge up the non-committed voters.
Why is it, that most all my friends, and acquaintances are telling me they are voting for Mcain, but everywhere I look it says Obama is leading. I even live in a historically liberal state. I guess the rest of the freakin' country is all liberals. Is it a Gen-X thing to be liberal? I was wondering what the younger gens are thinking too? Or is it the older population. Oh well... back to work. |

There was a study done by the army times (issue 13 Oct 08).
It broke it down by race White non hispanic 76% McCain and 17% Obama. Black/African-American McCain 17% and Obama 79%. Total Military(includes all services): 68% McCain and 23% Obama. In all the polls there were about 7-8% undecided or declined to answear. |

There's a sound clip from Howard Stern on youtube. It's funny and scary all at once.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5p3OB6roAg Basically, it indicates that these black people are voting for Obama because he's black. But, that's not racist, is it? |

All I can say is Thank Goodness It Will Be Over Soon.
I'm sick of hearing the BS spewing from the candidates and the media like green stuff from a baby's butt. Obama's a liar. McCain"s run a campain spirit of a limp dishrag. Palin's a breath of fresh air but we'd need 350 or so more in congress to do anything. Besides power corrupts, so if she gets in, she'll change into "one of them". The good old boy network will continue plodding on. No matter who gets in, the word "Change" in these campaigns is the funniest thing I've ever heard. Nov. 5th is "freedom day". |

I think Palin is already corrupt too. People now aren't getting answers on the issues (or are too stupid to understand them) and are voting on character instead.
Unfortunately, public speaking ability is not the best indicator of character. I think Obama's public appearances and composure are winning him the election right now. Every time McCain makes a bizarre grin on live TV he alienates voters. I found this article interesting: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/art ... allously-left-behind.html |

Along those lines, Obama's age and inexperience helps him perhaps more than it hurts him. (Palin would have the same going for her if she was better at public speaking.)
First off, being new means generally less dirt on him, less voting record in congress, and people then see him as a fresh face not associated with the good 'ol boys network. Personally, I'm not fooled that easily. This is coming from the same public opinion that sees McCain as old and goofy, despite the fact that his physical awkwardness is partly a result of being tied up and beaten as a POW defending his country. McCain on the other hand, is losing because of his association (whether perceived or real) with Bush, and the bad economy is magnifying that. I like how he finally stepped up and said, "I'm not President Bush. If you want to run against him, you missed your chance 4 years ago." He should have made that clear months ago. |

If America is ok with Obama's response, they deserve what they get. Personally, I don't think it's government's job to "spread the wealth around". |

Joe the plumber LOL
The real identity of this man is Samuel J. Wurzelbacher who actually owes the state of Ohio $ 1,200.00 in back taxes for his income. The records on file in the Lucas County court has a tax lien filed on January 26, 2007 and remains unpaid to this date. JUST BS. |

I find all the venom in here interesting. Tragic, but interesting.
It's just what I was talking to Red about earlier this week in another thread. The attitudes are so engrained to literally HATE the opponent that he loses all sense of humanity. That level of hate won't go away after the election, so all those against will hate him/her, regardless. This happened to Clinton. Now things have gotten so fucked up that being well spoken and intellegent is a bad thing... jeez... The job of president requires a bit more than a folksy smile.. |

Wouldn't it be just nice if they had a series of questions that the candidates WEREN'T expecting? Then, turn their asses loose, NO cue cards, NOTHING - JUST THEM and their TRUE personalities and opinions. Then, perhaps we'd see what was real.

Another interesting development. The news media can investigate a private citizen and cause him all kinds of grief. The purpose? Intimidate those who dare question "The One"? Joe was in his front yard for cryin' out loud. Not a plant, didn't come looking for this. Private citizen who asked a question. And the left calls the right fascists! Ha! Palin is picked, and the media sends 30 people to Alaska to go through the trash and investigate every aspect of Palin's life. How many reporters have investigated the messiah Obama? |
