Every year my wonderful wife decorates a small "car tree". This year I think she outdid herself - here's a shot taken last night:

Pretty cool!

I'm still workin' on a partridge in my pair-of-trees.

I see Mustang, Cutlass, Charger, BelAir (2?), Caddy, C1, 3, 5?, RS? Camaro, another Camaro'74?, Impala, Cuda/Challenger/Camino?, blue Cougar/Cuda/Challenger on bottom?, Aston Martin/old Triumph, VW Beetle, Porsche, black Ford? Camaro/Caprice behind Mustang? front end ain't right, others?

Neat idea.

I stopped celebrating Christmas a couple years ago, but I started collecting the Hallmark Classic Car series when it started, back in '90. So I still buy the ornament every year. I haven't displayed them all in a couple years though.

I have a 4' tree for all my specialty ornaments - cars, sports, Star Trek, etc.

Do you have the Carlton Cards '65 Corvette? If not, I've got an extra unopened - got any extras you'd want to trade?

That is really neat. I feel so ashamed that the wife and I have not had time to even set up our tree this year.

I've seen a car on the freeway every morning for the past week or so that's all decked out in Christmas light and a little tree on top. Must do wonders for aerodynamics!

When I was in college, me and the roomie didn't have a tree up yet, and I was couchin' one afternoon, lookin' out the window at a 70 foot tall fir tree or some kind of conifer. The top of the tree was perfect.

I said to the roomie, "I think I found our tree; get a saw". I grabbed my huntin' spikes, and we went to the house next door, where they had moved out. I climbed the tree, and got to the top, and my roomie asked what was wrong when he heard me cussin'.

"The top 12 feet of the tree is forked up" I yelled. Yup, 2 halves; one half with all the right branches, the other half with all the left branches uh huh.

"Cut 'em both" he said. I started hackin', and tossed each half down.

Got 'em in, lashed 'em together, and made the best tree you ever seen uh HUH.

I don't remember if it took 4 halves the next year or not...

Merry Christmas to you!

We actually have a long term (five years or so) plan to blow up our old one-car garage and build a large, tall two car suitable for lifts. If JP is still in the business at that point he will be part of that problem...

How's your daughter doin' there?
