Hats off to anyone who can pilot one of those things.
You have every reason to be proud.

No, and no thanks for the snide comment either. That is his plane, staged at Bragram AFB and with a full combat load. It is an F15E.

I don't want to be misleading either. It IS his plane as he is the crewchief and responsible for every part of it. He just loans it out so others can 'drive it'. To date it has more 'activity' than any other plane in his unit.

Just wish he could bring it home with him, but then I would have to build a bigger garage. I will be happy when he gets safely home, that is all I ask for.

No offense intended, it's a super cool machine to be in control of and I have all the respect in the world for pilots and persons of service. I have a pic of the plane my Grandfather used to fly. I've sat in many planes at air shows and such, and briefly controlled a small plane in South America but nothing that would compare to that awesome beast.

It doesn't turn as well as a Vette when under power but it goes vertically much much faster.

Sweet plane. I had planned on going into the airforce when I graduated from high school but failed the physical. I was going to be a mechanic on those birds, He has a cool job indeed. The only large scale model I ever built was a F15E Strike Eagle. Yes, thank him for his service.

No CG vinyl sticker for the windscreen? Hmmmm...

Very cool, though. Good to see a father proud of his kids like that.
