Good Morning CGs!

Well it's the weekend for you guys, so I hope the weather is nice and you get all your chores done

Last night my cousin stopped by after work and we hit the weights pretty hard. Had a little snack after that and hung out for a bit until my wife got home from work. Then we ran out and grabbed a bite to eat and brought it home. Was a good night but I stayed up past my bedtime a bit. Oh well, you only live once. Baby was at grandma's for the evening so we had a chance to kick back a little and relax.

I did drive the beast to work yesterday even with the chance of rain and I'll be driving it again today. Can't beat the weather this weekend - upper 70's and sunny, no chance of rain.

Well, I've gotta catch up on a few posts, haven't been on as much as usual.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

it started raining about 6:30. thank god its a covered porch. watched the rain for awhile and watched the fish jumping and splashing in the lake across the street from the house and then came inside.

Sure wish I could get to enjoy retirement time a little more. I'm busier than ever. Always throwing more irons into the fire. I'm gonna have to start designating off days. Today isn't one of them. Off to cut some grass ........

Got woken up by my neighbors sumbi*ch yard service who started up at 7:30 this morning. Big plans for today though - I get to drive the vette with the relocated IAT and hopefully a more consistent set of datalogging results and a better tune. Happy Tuning Saturday!!

Oh - and its Dylan's first birthday today.. here's Dylan:

Greetings! The Mrs. was hinting at a couple honey-do items yesterday, so my plans to make more progress on the car may be derailed to some extent.

I stopped by the engine shop yesterday to drop off my Hotcam - the guy hasn't torn it all the way down yet, but he said from what he's seen so far, it looks like it should be a relatively easy fix - probably won't have to be bored, etc. A number of the bearings were quite worn, though.

I think I mentioned a while back that the president of our company had sent me an e-mail, telling me that his admin sings, and encouraging us to do a collaboration. So I sent her a piano track for Missy Higgins' "Where I Stood". She gave me a vocal track yesterday - she'll have to re-do it, as there are some crackles in it (probably a bad mic connection or something), and needs a pop filter, but I whipped up a quick mix with it. This was her first attempt at home recording - she usually only records at a studio. She has a fantastic voice!

Tommy, a guy at work retired yesterday - I forgot to warn him about how busy he'll be ;-)

Have a great weekend, gurus!

I'm at the shop trying to get caught up on a bunch of stuff. I'm leaving out on the 3rd for a week of Trout fishing at Norfork Trout Resort in Arkansas. YEAH BABY! First real break I've taken in 3 years.
Any Gurus in that area? Drop me a line before I go and we can try for a quick get together.

Good Morning Gurus!

Dylan is a very handsome little fellow!

I plan on doing a whole lot of nothing today.

That's all I have to say about that.

Enjoy your day!

Good morning, Gurus!

Well, I was trying to sleep in this morning, but someone is out there using power tools and the cat was yowling. Alas, I'm awake.

Dylan is such a cutie! Happy birthday!

Somehow I drove right past the place. A few blocks up I taciturn to head back and see if I can find it.

Good afternoon all - weather is nice here. The day was off to a good start by me sleeping in till nearly noon then aloha! What a surprising birthday wake-up call -
a 33 inch snake of some kind or another sitting under my coffee table peeking up at me!
Good thing the bathroom is close and a neighbor was handy...

Happy birthday blondie! Did your neighbor light up that snake for you?

If you enjoy snakes half as much as my wife does, you would have a " For Sale" sign out front by now.

We had about a five footer last week, and my wife still stomps her feet while walking out the front door to get to her car.

Sounds like you need to practice for Whacking Day in Springfield:

Evening gurus....

I was sleeping so soundly this morning (that 6 1/2 hour drive really pooped me out), ans then the daughter woke us up to go to the middle granddaughters soccer games. Dam* it hot and humid in KC. After that we went over to #3 daughters house to see them for a while, took a nap and watched their daughter (granddaughter #4)while they went out to play tennis. Then off to see #1 daughters oldest play her soccer game. More sun and humidity....

Glad to hear that everyone is having a good weekend.. I think I'll go to bed....

That's a very efficient way of naming your kids and grandkids, teebee. I might have to try that. #1 - go cut the grass, #2 - wash the dishes, #3 - get daddy a beer, he's tired from all this responsibility Never forget a name ever again!

I'd still screw it up, probably. I end up running through at least two names, every time I call one of my kids.

"Come here Scott, I mean Ben!"

Might change their names to:

Scottimeanben and Benimeanscott...

You might want to consider the ramifications of those number names though.

Imagine, if you will:

"Honey, I gotta go... I left #2 at a friends house, and have to go pick him up."

" #1, you're getting so big, I don't think I can hold you anymore!!!"

Could become awkward. I'm just sayin'...

Well, with two of my girls in the KC area, I have to keep them straight...sort of.
