Good Morning CGs!

I am amazed how quickly the weather has changed. It was 95* the other day and 61* yesterday. I went to the pool store and spent $95 to get crap to close the pool I had to buy a new cover, so that ate up most of it. I didn't get a chance to do it yesterday since I had the kids and I need a few hours uninterrupted. I did get the solar cover and water slide dried out and rolled up, though. The yard looks much nicer without that crap laying around.

I have been really slacking in the running dept lately. If I don't have a race to train for, I have no motivation. I think I need to sign up for a late season race just so I keep going. I think I'll try to fit in a short distance run tonight. There's nothing worse than losing what you've already built up.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good Morning All,

Not much going on here today. I'm just trying to wrap up some stuff for one job and hopefully get going on another shortly. I have another phone interview today and two Face2Face interviews tomorrow. One of those being the third with the same company from a couple weeks ago.

It's been raining here for two days. The Baltimore Grand Prix got lucky and found a window between Irene and this mess leftover from tropical storm Lee.

Cheers and have a good day! Back at you later.

Greetings! Another beautiful (but cool) morning here, gonna be high 70's and sunny. A smart guy would've taken this week off. But nooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I finished off my platform for the stairs last night, so I can make a run to HD tonight to get some 2x12's to make the new stair stringers. The fact that they're selling snowblowers already makes me think I'd better wrap up my deck project pretty soon.

Best of luck with your interviews, Don!

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

Good morning! Don sounds encouraging about your work, Matt I always had the same problem, up and down with the motovation. TB rain? Did you get some pics so you have something to remember it later.... Brad, snowblowers? Yikes!

I will continue to work on shop today between naps and goofing off. Maybe a little office work. My MIL is having a big sale this weekend so I will go up tomorrow to help the inlaws get ready for it then back on Saturday for the actual sale.......You have all this stuff and then you have a big sale at the end. I do get to drive the Vette though so that will be fun.

Have an interesting day Guru's!

In the 60s here this morning so it was a little chilly driving with the top down. Had a momentary flash about putting up the windows...nah! That's like taking your boat out and leaving the fenders hanging over the side...not done! No rain here like where Tom or Marcus are.

Don, good luck on the interviews! You certainly are in demand for those . I'll be heading over to Pantex soon!

Happy Birthday to your spouse Tommy! Get running Matt! I need to do some of that as well.

Off work early today to cut a frozen bolt out of a shock eye on the VW Cabby! If not one thing, its another!

Oh... if you never been there before you'll love the weather (sarcasm) -- Also, remember - NO OPEN FLAME !!! LOL

I had to go there once to deliver some radiological training for Glove Bag Operations. I remember that they had electric coil cigarette lighters in the smoking areas because no open flames are allowed anywhere in the facility. I wonder if that is still in effect. Probably, as they still more than likely handle the same mess they always have.

Hey guys, we had a very good lyceum this morning, Rachel's Challenge. Very moving and the kids responded very well (surprisingly).

For those of you who have never heard of Rachel's Challenge, Rachel Scott was the first student shot and killed at Columbine High School shooting back in 1999. In legacy they have started this organization and bring it to schools and communities over all the US. Something I could easily get behind.

Got to go, got kids in the shop.....

Tom... Very Cool! I checked it out and wow. Every school and parent should embrace this and spread the message.

Wow, what a beautiful endeavor. I had no clue this existed. I don't have any kids myself, but I'll definitely be spreading word of this to all I know who do.

Thanks TeeBee!.

I hope that it succeeds here, we can always use a "chain reaction" like this.

The story is quite intriguing. Her premonitions of dying early in life, the essay that she wrote just a few weeks before her death, the parallels of her life and the life of Anne Frank.

If you ever have a chance to hear the presentation, I highly encourage you to go.

Yesterday we got our son off on his 6 month deployment overseas. Now our daughter got a call today and she has to leave for 3 month deployment to the Baltimore area for tornado damaged homes. Then next week my wife heads to PA for a week visiting relatives. Going to be quiet around here.

Good luck with the interviews, Don.

Marcus - I found my motivation today. Rode to the woods/trails which is about 1.9 miles there, locked up the bike, ran just under 3 miles on the trails, then rode the 1.9 home. Not bad overall. It was windy as heck and that was really hurting me on the ride time-wise. Oh well, it's for fun. But I like to track my results. I just need to keep it up!

TB - it got up to about 72 today and sunny. It started out this morning on the drive to work at 54.
