A few questions...
What was your rwtq? What boost? What exhaust are you running? Good for you! |

470 on a Mustang dyno is a pretty good number. A Dynojet would have you well into the 500's.
With your setup I'm guessing you are at about 8 lbs of boost. I'm also guessing the power curve is pretty sweet and you aren't spinning it to the moon. |

8 lbs of boost
3in B&B with Exotic Muscle long tubes Mustang dynos traditionally read low FYI
SloRvette;

SloRvette; That print out got chopped off. The car was pulled to 6000. Power dropped off at 5750. The a/f on the print out was measured at the muffler outlet. There's a wideband in the collector that read richer than Tony's suggestion. That printout is the tune in the car as it sits now. It's very safe for what Brian is doing with the car. Putting things in perspective this combination makes well over 500 flywheel lb/ft at 2800 rpm. Is extremely docile until you put your foot in it, then pulls like a freight train in a rpm band that should lead to a very long life. 500 rwhp off this dyno usually traps 137mph in a 3450 lb car.
|

So much for getting some racing in
Last weekend the dragstrip is open I was on the waiting list for the autocross tomorrow. Got up @ 5am to pick the Corvette up Had to crack the ice off the truck this morning. Nor'easter coming in tomorrow cr@p! Getting a price from the shop on putting a 6pt rollbar in the car so they don't kick me off the track. |

I had around 500 RWHP (at 6200rpm)/ 480 RWTQ(4700 RPM) running 12lbs on my old S trim, so I think that your setup with 8 pounds is putting down some very nice numbers. Congrats!

Hey turns out they got a 'Snow Date' for the autocross Sunday.
I got to run my car after all! Picked my car up on Saturday, stopped by the hardware store on my way back to pick something up. Couldn't turn the car off! ARGH! Turns out the pivots on the steering columns tilt mechanism are shot. If I wiggled it enough I could get it to work. After all this, good enough for me I just left the car running during my session, normally you turn it off to keep it cool. Not really a problem yesterday... brrr... Definitely needed to leave the traction control ON yesterday. My Hoosiers were shot, so I drove on my 255 all-seasons. Got on it hard once, that was a real H0lyCr@p moment :D Real glad I made it. Finally having my car done and being able to run it once was a really big deal for me Nicely run event Great course, Especially that last part I own who ever set that up a beer! Food was great too. Can hardly wait to go back with some race tires. |

So, what are the winter plans? Tinker a little. Start it up from time to time or close the door for a long winters nap?

Well the 1st thing that comes to mind is fixing the steering column It goes back in the shop to get a 6pt Friday. May do flares, if I want to lower it more I'll need them Still not sure on that one. |

Wait a minute - you have coil overs - right?
You can run it lower, but you'll need to tinker with it to find out what it likes. Until you have data from a bunch of runs I'd leave it alone for now and fix the steering column. If you go aftermarket and ditch the stock column we need PICTURES! |

just watch out for the 1/2 shaft getting into the negative angle ( going up to the outside ) the u joints don't like to live that way for long . saw what happened to a buddy's rear end stuff when he lowered it tooo much .wasn't pretty

Will it hit the fender if the tire was forced up? Yes = gotta chop and mold in those flares. there was a recent ressurection of an old C4 flare post in the autocross section over there. I'm gonna leave mine alone and stick with 275 wide tires. Especially next year when I might see the track 5 weekends |

Yes I'm the one that resurected that thread
My friend from MI is the one selling them I decided to run it a year "as is" If I want to lower it further I'l pick up a light weight race hood to cut up |
