Good Morning CGs!

Happy Cyber Monday. Or Nibday....I know you're saying "huh?" I was typing too fast and was one character off on the keyboard, so that's how the original title came out. Nibday Chat. So happy Nibday.

Got a PM from JeffVette. He says he's still around, just not on the computer much. Glad to here he still pokes his head in every once in a while.

They are forecasting snow tonight....ugh. Time to park the vette and pull the insurance.

Hope everyone has a great (Nib)day.

Matthew

I bathed and towel dried the 90 and 91 yesterday. Haven't test driven the 91 because I wanted the wife nearby in case I needed a tow home. I found a loose connection but wanted to make sure it wasn't something else. The test drive went fine. After warming it up I took it for a spin. At around 35 mph I punched it. Didn't exactly get what I expected as far as throttle response. I rolled from a stop to about 15 mph and found the floor ............ Whoa Nelly! That's the Corvette I've come to know and love. Had to hold on with both hands as my sphincter muscle tried to grab a hold of the seat. Guess she's ready for a longer cruise now, maybe with the top dropped.

Howdy! Nice day here, not too nippy. Back to the grindstone, I have to teach a class for the next 3 days.

Here's a few pics of my niece's husband's hunting trophies, and some of his rock work - it's very impressive (we had Thanksgiving there). I had put the pics in an old folder from a few years back, so the title on the page is screwy:

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

Try their fajita chicken meat, too (we mix it with our own peppers, etc.) - it's quite good. We also like their grilled salmon - it's pretty similar to No-Name's version.

That's easy, you get people to pay franchise fees, buy equipment and ingredients from you company at a profit. Take a cut of the sales $$$.

If they're profitable - you win, if they go under - you don't loose.

Papa John's Pizza does the same thing (with the worst pizza on the planet).

So does Snap-On.

That song is from 1976. Surpisingly you can sing the same song today. Looks like I'll be long dead and in a hundred years they'll be singing the same old songs. Nothin f@(%in changes, just new generations to deal with the same old shit served on a different platter.

Happy Nibday Gurus!

Got my last radiation treatment this morning! I am SO glad that's over. I did end up losing a bunch of hair, but it's gone in a way where if I let my hair dry naturally, the bangs kinda' fall down and cover up the bare spot pretty well. Looks ridiculous though if I just pull my hair back! There a large, almost perfectly round red blotch that covers most the right side of my forehead, and extends up into the hairline, where it has cut out a crescent shaped section of hair. The left side of my hairline is still in its normal spot, so it's kinda' comical. Oh well, it should grow back before too long.

At least the tumor is long gone. That's the important part. And I'm still feeling fine. Even dusted off my weight bench this morning and started a new routine.

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Full speed ahead towards Christmas now. Most of our shopping is done. Got a few more folks taken care of over the weekend. Still need to get the tree up, get our cards in the mail and get stuff wrapped. I am SO ready for winter though! I have TWO snowblowers, two shovels, an ice scraper, and stocked up on ice-melt too.

Tommy's test drive post is makin' me miss my Vette. I did the "upskirt peek" to it over the weekend, and slid the cover up away from the nose for a minute, just to look at it.

Sigh.

As I got to the corner two firetrucks were going by. I couldn't help but notice the driver and passenger were looking at my Vette and pointing to it. May be 20 years old but it still garners attention.

Either that or they were saying; Look, There's another little dicked Corvette owner.

They were saying something about it though.

Evening guys...it's been a busy day at school. It does make the day go by fast though. About time to get the Corvette down from the lift and take it for a drive. It was 70 here today and a little breezy.

I got the shop cleaned up after the unloading of the tools a week ago. I still need to go back and finish up later. I have two cabinet doors to build before I can do that though.

They do draw attention, don't they Tommy. Ron, that is good news. Bill that color is gorgeous.

Ron - glad to hear the treatment was successful.

I tucked the vette in the garage tonight and called the insurance agent to cancel collision coverage. Guess she can sleep for a bit.

I like that color but it looks purple from here......Is it Black Rose Metallic? or Dark Purple Metallic? I don't know if I ever have seen one on the street.....

Atta boy Ron! Praying for your continued recovery.....

Black Rose

I've only seen 3 others in the last 15 years.

Couldn't own a mediocre color like some people.

Wonderful news, Ron!
I have a friend with a black rose - it's very pretty.
Woke up to snow this morning.Growl.... was supposed to be sunny today through Friday. Figures. It's now gonna be about 30 and snowed all day today and it's still coming down. I HATE this crap. Some folks around here I guess put up their cars but I usually don't. January is when it gets really cold here but then it warms up pretty fast. This mess in November is odd. But then again, I've been out back sunbathing in March and a week later we had 6 inches of snow. This is Arkansas, if you don't like the weather, stand around a minute, it'll change. You can literally see all four seasons here in a week. I saw the snow and got back in bed, got up later and it was still at it so I did my chores, then came home and got the house cleaned and made that bbq spaghetti
Hope you all had a good Monday.

Let there be no doubt. That is a beautiful Corvette color.

You're right. I don't know any woman who wouldn't want to own one in that particular shade.

Yep, pretty nice.
pretty unique.

I've also heard that Black Rose cars don't need much wrench twisting.
