Hmmmm looks cloudy and cold out with a skift of snow last night....may be a white Christmas yet. Got some teeth work done yesterday and some shopping.....I know this sounds bad but I am ready to get to the new year and move on......kinda bah humbug. Not much else going on more later..... That's the "Traction Circle" or "Friction Circle". We use it with intermediate or advanced drivers to discuss the whole forces concept of what the tires/chassis/car is doing on the track. It can achieve a 2G max in only one direction, so if you have the wheels turned in a corner at 1.2G and are braking or accelerating at 1.2 G you've exceeded the limit of the traction circle (the blue dot would be outside the circle) and you WILL be sliding/spinning. It's much easier to explain this on a chalkboard. one of the big things that new drivers on the track (or anyone on the street) don't understand is that going into a corner too fast with the brakes applied will generate a big push (the front end is sliding off the track). It's hard to get it into guy's heads that if you lift off the brakes, you can actually recover the tires traction and make it thru the corner (you've exceeded the traction circle and letting off the brakes reduced that force which in turn, increases the force available at the tire contact patch for turning). Oh yeah..Almost forgot...Whipped up a batch of Eggnog using that recipe that "contains 3 cups of booze per gallon and tastes GREAT!" last weekend. A 'test' run, if you will.. Well..it was excellent...Planning on whipping up another batch this weekend! Hope everyone has a Wonderful Christmas!

We have a real tree for a change this yr too. We were able to get the ornaments out for the first time in a couple of yrs and it feels good. Wife is happier and is not calling Mr Scrooge. We're going to go see Jeff Dunham in Columbus on the 26th. Caught his bio on the bio channel and looks like it is going to be a blast. Achmed Jr looks to be funny. I want to try that eggnog recipe. Kids are running around like crazy today trashing the house. #1 got up at 6:15 and #2 got up at 6:45...way too early. So they will be terrors later. #1 has an earache so we are going to the doctor in a bit. #2 has decided it is his personal mission to remove every ornament possible from the tree.
