Good Morning CGs!

After a couple days of acting normal, my sinues/allergies are playing tricks on me again. Started last night around 5 pm and hasn't quit yet. Ugh. This constant weather fluctuation isn't helping.

Plan on getting some work done tonight on the wall. I need to hit HD and pick up some retention wall glue, a water filter, a few shelving brackets, etc. Always something to do. We are also having a garage sale this weekend as part of the "community garage sale" day. Hoping to get rid of the old baby stuff.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

One thing about the baby stuff. One man's trash is anothers treasure. The wise man buys used.

I think I'll pay the bills then work outside on the yard today. Rain is threatening. I spread some grass seed the other day after I heard rain was in the forecast. That way I don't have to water it in.

Ya some yard work is in store for me also later today....after the regular work is done. Great weather here, cool and sunny with very little wind.

Thinking about heading to Kansas to see my Ma tomorrow. Got graduations this weekend and Mothers Day of course. Thanks to the Guru I am remembering the date....

I will take the C5 south when I go and may exceed the speed limit slightly. Road trip.....

Heard the one of the richest men in town was diagnosed with cancer and it doesn't look good. He is only in his mid 40's with a family.....damn I hate that. Every day you get is important try to enjoy them.

Here is a mini rant....how much time and money have they poured into cancer research and what have we gained in the last 25 years? Not much I'm thinking......

Gotta go.....

Everyday is a gift. Live it wisely. OK! Maybe recklessly here and there. That's one thing money can't buy. An extension. You can delay it but the time will come when you'll join the others before you. No guarantees ......

Greetings! It's gonna be 75 and sunny today, just about perfect. Maybe I'll pop the top on the way home, it's about time. The baby stuff sells like hotcakes, Matt - used is the only way to go for a lot of that stuff.

The cynic in me believes that there is no incentive to cure cancer, since there's too much money in it. I hope he is wrong.

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

The question I have is ... How long do you have to live before you've done everything you want to do? Some of the old timers I've talked to told me they were ready to go. Health was the main factor. When things don't work as good as they used to and life in general is a major task, many decide it's time. Some get a raw deal through accident or genetics and check out way too early. Everyday, a gift. Let's open it and see what it brings.

Morning guys.....It's a beautiful day here. Only two more then done with school for another year. Time is something we can't buy, that is true.

With the impending surgery, I am taking the Vette over to my local mechanic today, because it has developed a power steering leak and I don't have the time, nor will I have the gumption to figure it out after my surgery. So I have elected to let him fix it for me.

Last day for the seniors, they are surprisingly calm today. I was expecting them to be crazy and wild. I hold the key by not signing their check out sheet until the end of the hour. I've been known to not sign a check out sheet and making them come back if they act like jackasses during my class period. I know that's not right, but they don't have to act that way either.

Going to be in the mid 80's today then back to seasonal temps for the next week or so.

Good morning, Gurus!

Long time, no chat! So glad to see everyone here!

My health is better, but now work is slow. I guess those are the trade offs.

Already roasted some pepper beef filets and made some creamy farfalle - the house smells yummy. Not sure if that will be lunch or dinner, or maybe both!

Beautiful day here today also - can't wait for the next two hours - then I'm off till Tuesday
No real plans this weekend, but if I had an extra couple hundred dollars or three I'd drive down to Pensacola. Chagned the plugs and wires and thermostat on the Vette this past weekend, that seems to have helped a lot. But - this one runs hotter than the '96, any ideas to help keep it cool while idling? A friend has offered to send me an oil cooler that he's not gonna use - will that do it?

Oil cooler won't help with coolant temps. What are the fan on and off settings?

Well I took the corvette to my mechanic. He thinks that it is my rack that is leaking . I left it to be repaired looking at $1000. Doesn't matter it has to be fixed.

LOL @ Tommy! It is always something. If I wasn't having this surgery , I'd probably try the change out myself, but for $250 labor, it ain't worth my time. This guys says 3.5 hours, heck I'd have 3.5 hours just trying to figure out where to start.

Are your fans kicking on? They heat up fast when sitting in a line on a warm day.

At least one is on, while sitting at the light it hit 237 but it was 95 outside. Better than the 255 the other day... when it's warm - and I shut it off, the fans still run for awhile. I plan to actually open the hood the next time before I shut it off and see. I have no idea the temps that they come on at. Had this issue with the'96 also and finally got it straightened out. That sucker never got over 195. Figured if an oil cooler cools the oil, then it should keep the engine cooler thereby keeping my coolant cooler??? Obviously I know nothing about this stuff...
