Good Morning CGs!
So today is the big day, huh? I find it literally amazing that there are so many people in this country and the voters are split evenly right down the middle. That blows my mind. I guess the answer will come later tonight. Got up this morning and did my calisthenics for the first time in a loooong time. Felt good and got me woken up and feeling fresh. Ready to attack the day. TB - how are you feeling? Hopefully you got some antibiotics from the doctor and things are on the up & up. Hope everyone has a great day! Matthew |

Its a good day to be an American....we can go vote. I always vote because I think it honors those who have fought and died to make sure I have that privalige.....my thanks to them...long live the Republic.
Split down the middle we are and we will see if we have more folks who want the Government to be their daddy or those that think the Government is a necessary evil...I personally think that......it doesn't matter what I think...just make the effort to go vote.... Got an eye exam this morning so things will be blurry for awhile I am sure....then some meetings and maybe a celebration..who knows? Have a groovy day Guru's...... |

So, I ran down to the high school to vote.
The girl gives me a ticket with a large "B" on it and says "You're in line B.". Enter the voting room, there's 3 big tables with foot and a half, square signs - Roster A, Roster B, Roster C. There's no one at A & C and 15 people in line at B. Half the people entering stand there in front of the tables with blank looks on their faces trying to figure out what to do. One guy comes up to me and asks "Is this line B ?" I pointed to the sign and didn't answer him. Others walk up to A & C and are told that their ticket says "B". Poll workers had to go thru line B checking tickets and redirecting some to A or C line. Must have been Obama voters. Probably drove to the polls in the left lane. |

In a bit of a pissy mood today. Getting tired of dealing with stupidity at work.
Backing up a bit, they canned my boss a few months ago without bothering to find out how he did some of his monthly statistics gathering. Dumped it on several of us with the standard "figure it out" instructions. Hell, we don't even know what it is let alone where it comes from. Well, I got my part figured out. Last Wednesday I get the e-mail that says "I need the stats for Oct. By end of day Friday." I supply them before noon on Thursday. Today I get an e-mail 3 hours before the meeting to review them that there is an error and I need to get it fixed. Miracle worked. I need a brick wall to beat my head against. Sorry for the rant, needed to vent a bit. |
