A bit of a milestone for the 67. The first restored parts were put back on the body today. And the headlight buckets installed to start working on thegaps between them and the body.

We bucked in 56 aluminum rivets using an air chisel WITHOUT screwing one up.

Buckets

The sheetmatal on the storage compartment, removed all the carpet glue, fixed it where my girlfriend bent it backwards

Grill mounting brackets

Windshield washer fluid jar bracket

By the time you compile all these threads, you're gonna have a book. I'm glad I'm keeping up on these step by step. Keep on chipping away until you get to the money part.

Thanks for reminging me.

Gary (the guy with the baint booth helped with the rivets), I was incorrect about the $500 paint job......it's going to be $600

The next step is to do a body drop on to the bare frame and start the body worl on the exterior.
Fortunately, all the major work is done, but fitting the doors (gaps) and headlights plus straightening out a couple body lines will take a while.

I actually pull the body by myself, not a big deal.

Dropping the body really needs more help because you don't want to screw up the new body mounts.

Dropping the body is the next step.....then I get to start on the body work
