I'm not very technical, but I can answer your emotional type questions. Or whatever.... I started on another forum six YEARS before I bought my Vette. I was trying to learn everything I could about them before I made my purchase. A lot of people were very patient with me. And some were not, but I won't name names (DaleD.) Anyway, post it, or PM me. It won't bother me a bit!

There was a guy on another Corvette forum that was trying to sell his dad's Vette. I think he was in PA. This guy had a Cadillac Northstar engine in a Jeep. Pretty cool.

By the way, I would take a corvette if you guys wanted to buy me one! Given their killer low end torque, that should be a good fit for a 4WD vehicle. Years ago I frequented Sandusky Speedway in Ohio. At that time they ran supermodifieds as part of their weekly program. These cars required push starting. The track had a number of V8 powered Jeeps to push off the supers. They had side pipes, 60 series tires and push bumpers. They sounded real good and by themselves were just one more contribution to what was at that time the best weekly short track show going. Supers are the most radical vehicle you'll ever see on a paved oval. Anyone who's ever seen them knows what I mean.

I don't know what that engine designation was or if it's a similar configuration to the L98 (obviously no fuel injection) but my brother and a couple of his gearhead friends did the install and it worked out pretty well. When the time comes and if it's pertinent to what you're attempting, I'll ask him if there were any tricks to it. It was a while back but he should remember...

Never on Johnson Valley, or the Hammers, but I expect that I would be leaving parts all over the place.
