Morning gang.

I'm feeling under the weather today. Some how I Managed to get caught by the cold bug. So today I have a few things at work to do then I'm going home so I don't affect anyone else. I have tomorrow off so I'll probably sleep in.

Word of the Day Thursday, April 24, 2014

1. (in ancient Greek tragedy) the critical moment of recognition or discovery, especially preceding peripeteia.

GOOD MORNING

I woke up feeling a little more my age today. It's foggy, cool and damp. I can feel it in my bones. It's gonna warm up, get sunny and all will be well before I know it. For certain, thoughts of this living what this song suggests are off in the distant past.

Good Morning CGs!

Sorry to hear you are sick, Mike, hope you feel better quick.

I have decided to order this cap for my car:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/dui ... k/overview/make/chevrolet

Shipped, it costs $89 ($10 shipping). Summit has free shipping for $99 orders so I have to find $20 worth of junk to order. In my mind it's like getting an extra $20 worth of stuff for half off. I think Summit somehow still wins in the end, but I need to make myself feel better about dropping $100. I need some antiseize, gloves, stuff like that so I will add it on and see what I come up with.

I have some chores today including working on the rototiller (rebuild kit came in) and rescreening some windows. Always a pleasure doing that task.

Have to get the rugrats cleaned up and fed.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Vearo paro!

Another soggy day here - I guess on the bright side, whenever it decides to get sunny, it'll be greening up in a hurry. Today Mrs. Pianoguy and I mark the passage of our 38th lap around the sun together. I think the sun is up there somewhere, anyway.

Stay dry, Gurus!

Happy anniversary to the Pianofolk....that's a big deal congrats.....Capt. rest up and drink plenty of fluids but no beer....

Well we finally got some rain. 1.7" here at the old yellow house, so farming will be called on account of rain today. I will get some work caught up in the office.

Although the sun is out now so things will be going again in a few days.

I will change out my clutch fluid today on the GS....got the fluid bought and the turkey baster I snuck out of the kitchen....so I'm ready to do the job. Maybe I should take some pics and make a C6 thread on it for the Guru....

Right now I feel my morning nap coming on.....enjoy your day Guru's...

Gee, that's a bitch ain't it??

Funny that I don't get shipping charges at Summit.

Went in yesterday for a Chassis Shield paint kit, they had the quart of activator but the paint was on backorder. So they shipped the $25 can of paint from another warehouse - no charge.

The problem with going in there is the "clearance dept".
They had a set of demo Intercomp car scales sitting there, $1995.00 - clearance price - $999.

Yea,

WTF happened to my DNBFS?

The Lotus in the shop has crap oil pressure cause the owner let the idiot doing the install switch oil pumps on a brand new motor. I'm not pulling the motor and getting in a fight with the engine builder in L.A.
And, 2 bolts in the bellhousing are stripped but the idiot finished installing the engine anyway.

I have a 34 Chev frame to paint.

The Lotus owner wants to bring me another racecar this weekend.

I have to set up the new Formula Atlantic next weekend for a track event on the 10th.

And I want to get the 67 into the paint booth in May, I'll be amazed if that happens.

Been off work PTSD and job stress. for Workman's Comp almost 2 months now. Hate not working. Waiting for School district to give me help in my classroom with Behavior students. Special education is rewarding when you have administration helping. When they dump every problem child off in your room with out warning you can't plan anything.
I hate being supervised by someone that has never taught in the classroom.

Good luck, Steve. Hope it improves for you.

The rototiller project was successful. About 2 hours total. Once the carb was disassembled I had to use a pick and screwdriver to scrape the varnish. Pain in the butt. I also had to run to the store for replacement fuel hose. It's up and running for under $15.

My luck is the self baster would get crooked and start a grease fire and the smoke would be rolling as I grab the turkey and throw it out in a snow drift to put it out....then the barn cats would attack the turkey and we would all head for Chinese on Thanksgiving....could happen...

Today Mrs. Pianoguy and I mark the passage of our 38th lap around the sun together. I think the sun is up there somewhere, anyway.

CONGRATULATIONS, MAY YOU HAVE MANY MORE.

It's official. I'm sick. I've been on the border for several days and now symtoms have advanced. Hope it's a quick thing. I hate being sick. (Not that anybody I know likes it)

Evening guys....been a very busy day, afternoon and evening. Congrats to the Piano People. Not sure if it is Tommy who is the Master Baster or not. Steve, teaching itself can be very stressful, then add in all you have to handle and it becomes more so. I hope you get to feeling better soon. Tommy, you get to feeling better too.

Well, here it is Thursday and I still haven't had time to get my car washed...maybe tomorrow.....

The local Mennonite youth have an annual "Friendship dinner" where they invite members of the community (non-Mennonites) to come out and serve a wonderful supper and then they sing to the group. It is so wonderful, I wouldn't miss it. Well it was this evening. We left the Gsons' baseball game to attend. While there I picked up two more cabinet jobs. One of the youth advisers, is also owner of a construction company and I've worked with them before on some projects. They referred me one of the jobs and another was a client already. So I've added those to my list.

Well, I hope everyone has a great rest of the evening.

Glad the shrink was finally able to give you a diagnosis.
