Webmaster SW Chicago Burbs 22806 Posts Member since: 2008/1/7 0:00	Good Morning CGs! Came home last night and had some grub, then off to HD to grab some stain for the fence. Got home and started working around 6:30 or 7:00. I knew I didn't have much time but I wanted to get at it. We rebuilt the front gate portion of our fence a few weeks ago and it was just cedar with no stain. So I got the closest matching one I could find to do the job. I was using a 3" brush so it was not as fast as rolling, but gets in the cracks and crevices a little better. I got about 2/3 done before I ran out of light and stopped at 8:30. I will finish the rest this weekend. Funny thing is the whole time I was staining the fence I was thinking about Tom Sawyer. Hope everyone has a great day! Matthew

Hit the cracks and crevices with a brush and roll the rest. I'm surprised your wife didn't bring that to your attention.

Chair-man of the bored Homestead USA 33768 Posts Member since: 2007/12/10 0:00	Sue goes for an MRI on Monday and has an appt later this month with her EN&T Dr. She has an enlarged gland in her throat the Dr wants to remove but first he wants to get a better look at it. She already did a CT scan. I tend not to get overly concerned until I hear everything. So I won't know much till after the surgery and biopsy (if there is surgery) I'll let it play through and let you know what happens. Nursery day today. Grass mowing, weed whacking a little clean up at the house and hopefully an afternoon snooze. I managed to squeeze in two hours of afternoon pillow time yesterday. Let's see what today brings. The only thing I know is "It's always sumthin.".

Youngest brother said she has't look that good in the last couple years. I think everyone agrees. More and more family showing up. It is a good thing that we are having this cool streak as dad's house isn't big enough for all the family. Those are cool tree houses, but in order for me to be able to do those, you have to have trees to build in..... . We live in the great desert of southwest Kansas, not many trees big enough to do something like that. Got to head outside, as more family is showing up that I haven't seen in a while.

You get a lot of over spray and I don't want that on my gray siding. Better hope it's not windy. Plus you are supposed to backbrush or backroll after you spray to get it to soak in the wood. If I were doing a large section I would consider that.

Spraying with a spray gun isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread like you make it out to be.
