Nice thunderstorms started about 4am. Nothing nasty, just nice rain with occasional thunder. I have one final to give today, should be another easy day. Men are cooking lunch today for the staff at the high school, with the rain it means someone is going to get wet or we'll have to figure out how to grill those burgers and brats another way.

Slept in late and had to jump right into legal documents. Legalese is like working on plumbing only in your mind. Waiting for return phone calls and emails puts a kink into my getting into my planned chores for today. Guess I'll just have to do some of this and some of that.

I ate a Pizza Hut Super Supreme pizza with the past couple of dinners. Each night I had some vivid, graphic dreams. Maybe they used some special mushrooms in the ingredients they added. My dreams were like being in a Tom Petty music video. Enjoy your day gurus even if you have to force yourself.

Weather .... hot, humid and sunny.

I may gripe about my rain but at least I'm not posting that...
well the 39 degree part anyway - don't usually relieve myselff off the deck lol....

Beautiful and sunny here - I'm indoors. Was outdoors yesterday while it was hot and humid wet sanding a Mazda then a Durango. I HATE that crap. Then had to get compound off after he buffed and then wash em. Not sure what I hate worse, the sanding or the washing. Way too much crap to do up there yesterday almost nice to come in here to the other job and sit in a comfy chair in an air conditioned office....of course I need sleep, think I got about 2 hours last night.
Happy Tuesday y'all..

Working people frequently ask retired people, what they do to make their days interesting.
Well, for example, the other day my wife and i went into town and visited a shop.
When we came out, there was a policeman writing out a parking ticket. We went up to him and said, " Come on man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?"
He ignored us and continued writing the ticket. I called him an "asshole."
He glared at me ,and started writing another ticket, for having worn out tires.
So my wife called him a "Shithead" He finished second ticket, and put it on the windshield with the first.
Then he started writing more tickets, this went on for about 20mins.
The more we abused him, the more he wrote. Just then our bus arrived, and we got on it, and went home...
We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired.
It's important at our age!

Well me thinks I'll sign up for Willow Springs this saturday. I've never run the big track before, looks scary. Lots of high speed sweepers and a decreasing radius turn into the straight. I've run the streets course (top right of the photo next to the oval).

Still raining....well, spitting and I'm not complaining. So far today we have had close to two inches of nice easy soaking rain. Just what the Dr. ordered.

Rosie and #1 & #2 grandsons went to the "city" today to pick up commodities for her office to disperse. They had to take the county pickup and my pickup as there was more than the one pickup could hold. The commodity semi was running late because of the rain, so she took them out to eat while they were waiting. When they got back they got my pickup loaded and then she proceeded to lock the keys in my pickup. So in the middle of the day I had to run to the "city" to unlock the pickup.

Does anyone know if I could have hit the unlock button on the remote through my cell phone to a cell phone near the car to unlock it? I've heard that works sometimes.... ???

Oh, I got a card today signed by the high school staff today for my retirement gift. Another teacher retiring this year they gave her a massage a month for a year. I guess they like her more than me.

Principal said something to the effect, "Not sure how many times you'll retire, so here's a little something" .....then handed me the card. Thing is, when I retired 5 years ago I decided to come back before they gave me a party. I guess we'll see where I stand tomorrow with the district awards luncheon.

T1 takes a good amount of brakes but it's faster than most people think.

T5 coming off the hill is off camber so, be careful on the exit with too much throttle.

T8 to 9 is almost a half mile (or so it seams), works your neck pretty hard. Use all the track at the exit.

Very fun track................unless you're there in August.

Yea, that guy's on CF. Now running with the big boys.

R/A and Elkhart are 2 of the east coast tracks I'd really like to run, especially R/A. It's been the site for the SCCA National Championships many times. I've driven the other good tracks on the east coast.

Trans Am's been dping better, picking up more entries and
has TV coverage.

TeeBee, I know just how you feel. A couple of years ago, one of the girls was celebrating 25 years at work. Boss dragged all of us into the room to make a big todo over it. Then came my 40 year anniversary and, you guessed it, zip, zilch, nada, nothing.

Thanks Bill. Forecast is 78F and breezy. Great for the desert in late May! It sure looks easier on brakes than Fontana. I'm trying out water wetter this time. I didn't flush the block, so it's probably only about 80% water, but that's better than 50%. With less glycol I get a lower boiling point, but it shouldn't matter.

Wow, 78 is really nice for Willow. Wish I could go there more often but the 3 Nor-Cal tracks are 1/2 the drive time.

The Redline helps a bit but we run it more for the waterpump lube. Glycol isn't allowed in SCCA racing but is OK for SCCA HPDE.
