Good Morning CGs!

Hope everyone has their Christmas shopping done. My wife asked me yesterday to find a new general purpose bag for her dad to bring to work. She had the brand in mind but couldn't find it locally. Of course. Good idea 5 days before Xmas. I emailed a guy online who is local and said we'd get it by Wednesday, so I hope that's the case. Nothing expensive, just nice to have it in time.

Kids are off of school now. Probably will drive the wife nuts. Anyone have the week off?

A blonde has a flat tire on the Interstate . She pulls over to the shoulder of the road, carefully gets out of the car and opens the hatch.

First thing out come two 2 cardboard men, she unfolds them and puts them them at the rear of the car facing oncoming traffic. These cardboard cutouts are very lifelike images of two guys in trench coats exposing their nude bodies to the approaching drivers.

Cars started slowing down looking at the lifelike men which made it safer for her to try and change the tire at the side of the road. Of course, traffic starts backing up.

Cars tooting their horns and waving like crazy. Not long before a cop pulls up, gets out of his cruiser and walks over to her. "What's going on here?" she says "My car has a flat tire". Cops says "what are those obscene cardboard men doing here by the road?" She can't believe the cop doesn't know! "Haven't you seen emergency flashers before?"

Greetings! Short week, only working today and tomorrow. Looking forward to the days getting longer, too - stumbling around in the dark in the morning gets old fast. Meanwhile, we got our distribution from the electric co-op from 1987, and will try not to spend it all in one place. It was a whopping $38.

Morning guys....Heading up to help Rosie fill Christmas care packages for the poor today. Her office does this every year.Local ministerial alliance backs the project and many volunteers and organizations collect money and canned goods for the project. I really enjoy doing it. And meeting people who truly are appreciative of the help is heartwarming.

Mine is volunteer, Rosie's is part of her job. But do have the two younger boys here to help. I've got the pantry doors off, for easier access to the canned goods. And waiting for the frozen turkeys to show up. The same people have donated them for the last 10 years or so. Waiting for the ministers to show to get started here.

I am also taking the week off because I have not done anything to get ready for Christmas......so I gotta buy some presents and help get the lights up.....stuff like that...

I did build a box for the Christmas tree.....Uwoman says this is very thing to have nowadays .....so who am I to say anything except ok no problem...

cold and rainy here apparently for Christmas. No week off but four days will work just fine. Still have a gift to get for the body shop owner's wife. His birthday was the 17th got him a Farmer's Almanac he's not put the thing down yet and is purposefully using it to annoy the shit out of her. Having great fun with that, he is. Have a new computer and monitors at the graphics shop. Not the nice Mac I was promised but better than what I had. Something called a MSi Gaming Series with two Dell 27' monitors. I needed anti glare but he liked the looks of these so we'll just have to make it work. Got the gaming chair ordered for the BF and while he was off working on someone's car Saturday I snuck in the house and wrapped it and put it beside the tree. Took him a minute to notice it, just saw the tree had been "moved over" and then he said he saw "a big chrome box with red/black and silver bow and stuff" on it that was half the size of the tree".. hope he likes it.
big plans anyone?

It's going to be a 4 day workweek here but I will make up for it next week.

Primary shopping is complete, now to get it all wrapped. Still have to pick up a few cards. They are hand delivered so no sense hurrying.

Next up Christmas Phase 2 which will be the end of January with the kids and grandkids in Delaware. All they are asking for is giftcards. Boring !

I am going to have to make time to go see the new Star Wars flick. There are several coming that I am interested in seeing.

Hey guys, it was a busy day. Loaded up all the Christmas boxes for the needy, well the ministers did most of the boxing. After noon people started showing up to take them. Our afternoon help "got sidetracked", so it was me and the boys mostly hauling those heavy boxes out to the peoples cars. Makes me feel good to be able to help out though. All three GSs and the daughter as well.

I guess I don't get the box thing, and I'm sure as hell ain't showing Rosie...not that we could do that...wait, I'd better not say that, had I? Looks like a well made box anyway, Marcus. Nice job. Matt, someday you'll understand.....someday.
