Just curious...anyone else wack their shin (right leg) when getting in your car?
I have hit mine so many times, yesterday, I knocked the scab off. True story.

Yeah, can't figure that out...

Do you put your pants on one leg at a time, just like the rest of us?

No...............mmmmm.........hugh?

My best guess is your standing to close to your car when you get in.

Try backing off about 6".

If that doesn't work, then you are standing to far away.

Try moving in about 6".

If that doesn't work, try moving forward about 6"

If that doesn't work, try moving aft about 6".

If that doesn't work, try 6" platform shoes.

If that doesn't work, have you ever seen; "King Of The Hill", Hank Hills father?

If the above suggestions don't work, you should just climb through the window like Bo and Luke Duke.

Just to let you know,

Yes, when I am in a hurry my shin hits the very corner of the lower dash. Sometimes it takes the skin off.

If you sit down first and then spin your legs around....that lowers the chances. But almost all the time, I step in, sit and then pull the left leg in.

The step in is the critical point.

I think he's talking about hitting it on that protruding corner of the dash. I used to hit it fairly frequently too, but haven't in quite a while. I hadn't really thought about it in some time. I guess I've gotten better with practice. This made me think of a funny definition I heard one time.
Shin: A device for finding furniture in the dark.
I got my right shin real good a couple of weeks ago on some wheelie bars on the back of a car we have at the shop. Ouch! One of those things that always makes me cuss like a sailor!

^^well, I thought it was kinda odd that no one else can even figure out how it is done.

It is so easily done merely by putting that right foot in first. The shin is moving inward and downward. If it hits the protruding corner of the lower dash....it hurts.

Ah! I see. I was thinking you meant hitting the door sill or something. The dash part makes more sense. Although I have never done it, to my knowledge.

I have whacked my shin good and hard on a motorcycle trailer before heading out to ride dirt bikes. Hurt like a mudda fadda!

Lioke some say - Getting in and out of a C4 is like climbing in and out of an RV bathtub. Practice, practice, practice.

I don't wack it anymore because the permanent dent in that shin finally clears that corner. Kind of a custom molded shin now.

Yup. First time I ever got in my Vette I "Wacked My Shin".

It was one of those things I'd do once then never again.
