Good Morning Gurus!

Thursday....

Do most of you have Good Friday off? I do not. Would be sweet if I did. An early start to my vacation.

I went and sat on a really cool bike yesterday. Triumph Speed Triple. A leftover '07 in Roulette Green.

Resized Image

Looks the business, don't it? Fairly comfortable too. I think I'm in love. Or at least in lust.

What do you Gurus lust after, besides Corvette stuff?

Beer.

That's about it. Maybe a nap every now and then. I'm a simple man.

What's a day off?

Even when I go on vacation, I take my laptop with me, so I can still connect to work. I know, my own fault.

I try not to mix my lust and Good Friday on the same post.
But since my sins are already paid for what the heck.
The ladies get my attention. None of my money but plenty of attention. I'm just a window shopper of course. Can't go messing around having a ball and chain.

(BIG TIME!)

The running joke around here is that if I die my boss will make sure I'm burried with a cell phone and a laptop so I can login in case he runs into trouble.

I took a floating holiday for tomorrow (I get 2 of those a year).

The wife, youngest son, and I are driving to Fl. in the morning. 10 days of vacation wonderland/God's waiting room, right :tongue3: . Probably only one trip to mouse world, but I'll hit the beaches a few times.

Forcast is for 5 to 9 inches of snow Friday morning thru Saturday. Hope I make it outta town , and thru Chicago OK. Easy traveling after that.

BTW, I'm too old to lay on my stomach on those types of rockets. My FLSTC suits me fine.

Yay for Thursday! I'm off tomorrow, not cuz it's a holiday, but cuz I work 4-10s. Off every Fri.

Big task for Friday: unpacking all the things we accumulated over the week.

Actually, I don't care to hump the football anymore either. Been there, done that. This one is fairly upright. Kinda like a dirt bike. Not for the short of inseam. Fits me like a glove and I'm pretty tall.

Not to mention, this one is under ten grand, brand spankin' new. I don't think you get too much H-D for that kinda scratch. I don't dislike Harley's at all. Just not my bag.

That is a great bike. Not a true sport bike but has a great bang for the buck value. I have ridden one of these a few times, it is quite comfortable even for a couple of hours.

I have the 2 wheeled Winnebago which is great for the long cruise, but its still fun to get on something like the Speed Triple that goes that fast and stops that quick.
Lots of technology for 10 grand.
Take it for a test ride, you will probably buy it.

I got lucky and got duty today which gives me tomorrow off. I had some guy I contacted about trading my vette for his bike plus cash to me (his bike was only worth $5,600) tell me that his bike was worth more than my vette! I understand KBB values and most of the time depending on the model or year they are a bit off. He told me that he could find vettes around my year all over for 4-5K. He has not responded back yet with where he can find these at! Last time I checked if they are that cheap there is some minor to MAJOR problems with them. Ah, but what can you do?

I haven't looked at the Brit bikes lately. What is it, 750cc 3 cyclinder? (That's what the old triples were, I think)

No day off here. My other interest is my boat. The weather is warming up a little. I can't wait until boating weather hits full speed.

1050cc triple.

416 lbs.

131 bhp

77ft.lb torque

A great mix of a twin's low-end torque, and an inline four's mid and upper range. Great for wheelies and other hooligan acts of stupidity.

YUM!
