6 hr exam tomorrow followed by an interview by a panel of 8 peeps tomorrow. Unless I screw this up I may just have a job starting in June sometime.

Ugh...Been going through this test/interview/give us this/that form process for over 6 mos now.

Would be nice as its nights so I could do my pool thing P/T a few days a month and put more time into porting....Or the beach.

I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel..I hope.

you want a good reference when they call? Then you better leave that piece of shit in Northridge where it belongs.

So there.

Good luck on the process!!! I do really wish you the best... as long as that van stays well clear of torrance.

nope, no degree, this is a night position. Degreed are days which you couldnt pay me enough to do even though they make plenty more..
Plenty of room for OT and a monthly ba$e to work from.
Gotta start somewhere.

Im a night owl so this works perfect for me. Couple days a mo doing my pool stuff or some porting out of the garage and Im set and have plenty of days free. Sounds like it will be hell starting out though, they sound like they are pretty tough on you the first 6 mos to weed people out.

I'd like to hear that conversation where they ask you about applicable experience...

Working for the state is easy, just kiss supervisory ass, and learn to get along with a bunch of people that wouldn't last 2 weeks in private industry, then you're in for life!

"Hell starting out" probably means they want you to show up within 1/2 hour of start time and not kill any children for the first few months.

Could get a call to come in or a decline letter anytime (if background doesnt check out) the next few weeks. Got a "conditional offer of employment" the other day so it looks good so far.
