Not a problem. 3 days of free time! just dont take too much meds at once or you will run out too fast.

It wasn't too bad. I had three yanked... took about 3 days to get over it.

It all depends on the quality of your dental staff. A well trained professional staff will adequately anesthesize the area and modern clean dental tools will make the removal almost painless.
However if your surgical dentist is a hack he'll just novocaine you up, whack the teeth with a chizel to split the roots, hold your shoulder and yank them broken suckers right out of your jaw leaving a gaping hole that fills with a blood cap. Just pray you don't get an air pocket or you'll wish the good lord would take you home.
Nothing really to worry about though.

Had all four of mine pulled at the same time too. Was put under, woke up, teeth gone, I felt drunk. Hardest part was getting the stitches removed, some of them were stuck in there good and it hurt getting them out.

BTW, I was scared to death of a root canal, but it is really easy and painless!!!

Got all four impacted out at once.

Had a cool out-of-body experience during the anesthesia startup. The doc kept me in orbit the whole time. Took about 3 days to feel normal. Within a week it was all over.....

I don't want to scare you but I had all four of mine removed and it was the worst experience of my life. I have broken my left arm twice and I'd rather do that again than get my wisdom teeth pulled again. I had a real hack for a dentist though, when I was younger I had 6 teeth pulled at once and it wasn't nearly that bad.

Good luck.

I had all four of mine done at the same time also. I had a great oral surgeon and mine was a piece of cake. Very little bruising and I never got 1 dry socket out of the deal.

Surgery was done on Thursday morning and I bowled in my league Friday nite.

You'll be fine but I understand your apprehension.

Good Luck
Gary

I need to have this done, but I'm chicken... I hear it is easier, the younger you are.

My dad had his pulled when he was in his mid 30's, and he had problems. I'm 38, and not looking forward to it, but I have great health benefits, so I should man up in case I change jobs and lose the dental coverage.

Good luck, man!

I had mine done many years ago - local anesthetic. Sounded worse than it felt. A couple days later I was as good as I ever get.

Had my lowers done.

I figured the tops were fine, so Why let them remove them.

They gave my Oxycoton(sp?) for the pain.
I didn't like taking them since they made it hard for me to breath!

Same here, but the stitches were nasty, and when they dissolved, felt like a spider leg sliding down your throat....
Not much of an appetite for a while.

When my wife had hers out, the had to break one that was impacted into pieces to get it out. She wound up with an infected dry socket with bare nerves.

I've had all of mine removed. All four(not at the same time) only used novicane to numb and then he used a set of pliers that looked like needle nose pliers and pulled them out. It surprised me at how big they are. He packed the area with gauze and prescribed some 800 mg Ibuprofen for the pain. Next day I was good to go. No problems with all four. My daughter had hers removed surgically, not pleasant.
