Just for laughs, I posted up about my antenna mast experience over on the 40th registry page. I used the word "damn" in my post.
I got my hand slapped over it. I'm so much more comfortable over here with you bastards. OK, so now I posted about another site on this site. You guys who keep linking us to CF can call me a hypocrate now!  |

Dunno... I was just told they wanted the site to be appropriate for everyone, including children.
I let them know that while I respect their views, I could only be myself, and that I wasn't gonna hang around there anymore. At one post every two weeks, I won't miss much. But I do sincerely hope the site grows, and that puritanical children around the world will be able to learn about 40th anniversary Vettes without fear of reading filthy language. |

Not even that many.
And I believe I was the heavy hitter over there. But I don't think that site can ever hope to be much of a social network, for reasons already discussed. So I don't believe the site is any worse off without me. Although I did consult my FSM to help a guy out over there. I'm reasonably sure I've seen a member or two from over there sign up over here. When the questions got technical over there, I would mention this site. There simply aren't enough folks over there to provide accurate and timely answers. I'm still glad the registry exists, though. I believe the car is special enough to deserve the site. |

I hear the same thing on another site I frequent. Absolutely nothing resembling swearing, no jokes, nothing.
