Good Morning CGs!

Oh no! Friday the twelfth....oh, wait, doesn't have quite the same ring to it, does it?

Well, I laid in bed this morning for about 20 minutes. Not my normal routine, I usually get up right away, I hate laying there - seems like a waste of time. But just felt good today. My wife will lay in bed for an hour if she could, I just don't understand that. Seems like there's always stuff to do and laying in bed you're not getting it done. Besides, if I layed in bed any longer, HCF would be delayed! Oh no!

What's on everyone's agenda for today? I have to work on my truck. I'm getting a coolant smell when I start it up when it's cold, but it goes away when it's warmed up. I'm wondering if it's just a small pinhole in one of the hoses or possibly the wp is leaking. I dunno. Heater core? I'm gonna tinker with it for about an hour and see if I can figure it out. I don't want to take it to the dealer for them to charge me $115 and say I need a new $12 hose. I wanted to pick up a pressure tester, but the cheapest one I could find (HF) is still $80 for something I'll use once. Ugh. After that, it's a workout and some errands.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Hot Chick Friday is just in time - it was -5 when I got up. Could be worse - up in Ely, MN it was -26. I can only imagine that if the Vette wasn't hibernating, it would've been creaking and groaning in protest this morning. I know I was.

Guess I just need to finish up the last few items in detailing the Vette for the Toys 4 Tots show/fund raiser tomorrow. That and I need a larger cargo area. I already have it about stuffed full of toys and still have more to load in there. Somehow it will all fit.

Weather looks good for today and tomorrow so it should be a good event. Guess that's about it for news from GA this morning.

I can't tell you how glad I am that it's not -5 or -26 here, dayum. It is supposed to rain here tomorrow.

Good Morning Gurus!

Day two of packing up my office. I'm getting tired of all my conflicting emotions. Twelve years with this company, packed up in about as many boxes...

HappySadHappySadHappySadHappySadHappy.... ENOUGH!

I need a vacation.

I really feel bad for folks who show up at work one day to find the doors closed and they're out of a job. How fortunate am I that I have seen this coming for a few months, I'm getting a nice severance, and my company is treating me well through the whole ordeal. I actually had a transition counselor call me yesterday to talk about life after this job. Wow!

I wasn't ready to talk yet, but I'll call them back in a week or two, and see what they have to offer. I was impressed that they took the initiative though.

Have a super day, Gurus!

I've been working in the same office for the past 15 years.
Three have us have known each other and worked together off
and on 27 years.
How do I feel about retiring and leaving my job?
Happy,Happy,Happy,Happy,Happy,Happy,Happy :banana21:

No love loss on leaving my job. I'll miss my friends and
co-workers though. They are a great support group.

I'm taking off in about an hour to head up to Mammoth ski resort. Technically they should call it a snowboarding resort.

Weather forecast probably looks like some of yours out east. They say wind at the summit will top 100 mph.

Saturday, High 24°F, Low 5°F

A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Very windy, with a west wind between 30 and 40 mph, with gusts as high as 65 mph.

Sunday, High 14°F, Low 8°F

Snow likely. Southwest wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

They come from Dictionary.com who sends a word a day to my inbox. I also get them on Sat and Sun, but since we don't have the daily chat on the weekend, I skip those.
