Plenty going on. More than enough to keep me busy and my mind worrying about things I cannot change. That's when it pays off to be busy and forget about the stuff you can't do anything about. I just realized in the past few days I work to keep stuff out of my head. Might as well be productive instead of just mulling around. |

Wow....that drag strip is cool....that reminds me that the Dr. I bought my GS from was instermental in getting the 1/8 mile drags started out at Qualcom stadium in San Diego... at one time they had two strips set up if I recall. Street racing deaths went down by a large percentage....good stuff.
Our fighting Yorkie had a close encounter with a skunk last night and I washed him and washed him but now the mud room smells like skunk. I have used a bunch of air spray but its not working.....country living....can't beat it... Have a good day Guru people...... |

So camping in the backyard with the kids last night turned out to be an interesting experience. They actually had a lot of fun. Dragging them out of the tent in the middle of the night to take them to the bathroom was not fun but I got it done. At 4:54 I was asleep...until...I heard some thunder in the distance. Looked outside and didn't see rain clouds but wasn't taking chances. I made RR#1 get up and go inside, then I carried RR#2 in and put him on the couch. I wrapped all the blankets up and carried them in. By the time I was zipping up the tent door the rain started coming and then it poured. So much for the forecast of rain in the afternoon. I guess 4:54 am is afternoon now. Grrrr. Now I get to let the tent dry out before I pack it up.
Not sure what is on the agenda for today. Maybe I'll take a nap like Tommy. Not with Tommy, but like Tommy  Hope everyone has a great day! Matthew |

I know I have been missing in action for a while.
Been having too much fun cruising around in the red hot rod. It didn't take me long to learn the value of Meguiars Quik Detail spray. It really makes the car shine. I am looking for nice settings to take pictures of the car. I recently saw a black C7. I really looked sharp, had an evil look to it. Hard to believe it is August already. Trans Siberian Orchestra should be announcing their tour dates before long, tickets normally go on sale the first of September. Can the holidays be far behind? Back to work, go out and make it a good day ! |

I have seen a couple of C7's around here and they do look very nice. Looks like a nice day here. Should be mostly sunny with a chance of showers or thunderstorms. Listen there is no worst place to be in a thunderstorm then in a tent....no way does water not leak in...I do remember sleeping under picnic tables and even a school bus wearing trash bags to keep my clothes dry.....ahh, Sturgis the early years.....

Well, I'm back in from playing all 27 holes this morning. And that was after a late start because of the rain. We were the first ones out so the two of us just boogied right along. Finished the first 18 in less than three hours and decided to play the other 9 and boogied through that as well. Clouding up again looking like it might want to rain.

Felt like poo today, did dishes and one load of laundry, nothing else. Well, yes I did, there's a new cupcake place in town and I went and got four. Ate one. Made me sick as hell. i forget while taking trazodone things that used to be really rich tasting are now not so much and those things that used to not be are now way over the top. Carbonated things are strange now too. Hauled two small canopy sunbed units to a cousin last night and stayed at her house. She has the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in but for some reason I never went all the way to sleep. I see an early bed time for me tonight.
Did I read that right.. 27 holes of golf... all in one day? Makes my arms hurt... |

Indeed, I'm usually beat by the 18th, 27 would be a stretch. I used to play 36 holes a day when I was a kid - one day I played 63 and a friend played 81. But those days are lonnnnnnng gone.

Letty, that was 27 holes before NOON! I have to admit, my arms are tired this afternoon. There was a white C7 vert here on Tuesday. I thought it looked pretty good. not sure what they call the color of the top and the interior, but it was a deep tan color. The black eyebrow mascara on the rear didn't even catch my eye....I liked it. Seen one in red (solid color, whatever they call it now), it was sharp, but the mascara was more noticeable IMO. Getting stuff together to head home in the morning. The weather cleared up some and the sun is shining right now, well, mostly shining. |
