Thanks guys.

When we moved up here from Mass (in NH) I had closed my shop and transferred the building to someone else, so I've pretty much been working out of a gravel driveway for a while now.

Bout $11,000 from foundation to finish paint. including electrical, insulation, etc.

Very nice. Around here they would make you put in a full foundation on something like that, adding greatly to the cost and totally unecessary. Just curious, are tou tying the roof to the walls with something besides toe nails, say a strap on every other rafter?

Can't do monolythic slabs in your state?

Yeah, he's not quite done tying the rafters to the walls. Another day or two of work left.

I ordered a commercial roll-up style door that rolls into a self contained unit above the header, so it won't interfere with the vehicle when it's on the lift. I have 10 1/2 feet to the cross braces so I can lift a corvette/camaro/car a little over 6 feet comfortably.

I think I calculated it out, a fbody is 49" from ground to roof. Frame is about 6" off the ground, so that would actually give about 7 feet of under-body clearance.

If this flu doesn't kill me, hopefully I can get cracking on the car next month.

Hey Mick,

Thanks. They're putting shingles on it now. I pulled my electrical permit so I'll start wiring it this weekend. I may have my dad come up and put him on paint duty!

I have a ceiling gas unit for the winter and it is awesome! A must have investment if you plan to be out there when it's cold.
