I've been thinking about buying a bike for a long time and finally bought one. I figured I would get something cheap to start off with and make sure I like it. Anyways here it is 84 1000cc sportster, drag bars, big gas tank and bob rear fender.

Nice bike, it looks great. Watch out for all the idiots up there. I swear people in Ohio aim to run bikes off the road.

Nice bike, I can't think of a better way to spend the summer. You've motivated me to go home and finish putting my 2nd bike together. Ride safe!

I would look at investing in an MSF course if you don't have much experience. Those cruisers with the low seat are so easy to ride that it's tempting to just hit the road and teach yourself, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I am going to take the course, might as well as the first mod should always be the driver/rider. I want to change the front rim and the rear one too for that matter, spokes..

Looks great! A Sporty is the best way to get into it. I rode them for years and now ride a Harley with a fuller more genteel figure.

Don't ever forget they are all trying to kill you, every day! In this land of jacked up pickups I have to think the same thing when driving the Vette.

WOW... looks NEW! Nice classic bike!

yea I gave up riding because of too many idiots on the road here in NY. I personally witnessed two motorcycle accidents myself last year... that was enough.

Have fun... stay safe

Wow, bike looks almost new! And it's a post-AMF so it won't leak a quart of oil on your driveway every time you ride it.

Stay safe!

That is great advice. I had my license and been riding on the street on/off for 10 years and dirt for about 20 years when I took a MSF course with my wife as she wanted her license.

We had a good time taking the course together (more than half the group were women so, my wife did not feel out of place).

When I was done I wished I had taken the course as soon as I started riding on the street. I realized on more than a few close calls over the years I was not "good", just lucky.

You will have a blast this summer - there is no experience like a summer day on a bike!
