OK we can't say "niger" because it's a racial slur. I get it.
But blacks can.
And now blacks can use the racial slur "cracker" towards whites. Huh?!?

I say its high time we start letting each other know that "cracker" is just as racial as "niger" and we should stand to voice against using this slur in any context.

When is enough, too much?

Niger is a river. Cracker don't bother me none. Words in general don't bother me . It's their intention that can be demeaning. As a white man doing white things I often encounter other whites that enjoy doing the white thing. That's mighty white of you to bring this up. Don't let it bother you to much unless of course your a cracker. Then I can see why you might get really pissed off.

I have noticed on TV that if someone is the stupid guy and does something dumb it's always the white guy never the minority. Especially in commercials.

Nobody in Hollywood knows anything.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The two-minute clip of Mel Gibson using a racial slur and calling his ex-girlfriend a "whore" during an argument are unlikely to be the last ugly words the public hears from the actor.

RadarOnline.com, the celebrity website that posted the recording Friday, says there's more where that came from.

For 10 days, the site has posted written transcripts of secret recordings it said Gibson's former girlfriend, Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva, had made. The snippet released Friday is the first audio of the confrontations that have been aired.

The clip includes segments in which a voice that sounds distinctly like the Academy Award winner is heard telling Grigorieva that she is dressing too provocatively and that it would be her fault if she were raped. He uses the N-word at one point, and the recording is laced with his profanity.

The media still reports news in colors. People are still described in colors. As long as that continues no one will be colorblind.

Mel Gibson needs to stay on his meds. Everybody is biased, everybody is prejudiced. Either you like vanila or don't, you like chocolate or don't. Some people like it together. We are mixed society that sometimes blends like oil and water. Ax me how I know.

"Nigger" is the slur.

However, Cracker refers to a group of white explorers who first settle Florida. Their name comes from the crack of their whips. Look up "Cracker Trail" for more info.

Whitey, Cracker, Honkie, White boy. Cracker has kind of a ring to it. Honkie I don't like so much. But I sure would have to take offense at being called N----- and all that that word implies by a white boy.

we have always assigned degroggorty names for groups we don't like.

WOP? Referred to Italian immagrants... WOP = With Out Papers. It was written on the back of their hands as they came into the states.

Lesbo is interesting. That word goes all the way back to greek mythology and the island of Lesbos, where women loved each other (IIRC).

I asked my kids if they had ever heard that saying. They said they hadn't but we live in a rural area. I can get them going when I use all the other words for cool, like fab, gear, groovy, outta sight, and far out! Nothing wrong with those words.
