So far the hurricanes have been kind to us this year. Keeping an eye on the tropics is almost a daily activity for South Floridians. At least a hurricane gives you a warning, unlike a tornado. There has been no shortage of rain during this rainy season. Almost daily showers or storms. Summer can never go by fast enough for me. October through May is when I like to play. I'm counting down the days.

Good Morning CGs!

Getting ready to hit the road for a run. Once I get home the neighbor is supposed to stop by so we can start framing that closet that has been put off about 4 times already. I also need to finish up my other chores around the house. Ugh.

On a side note, I'm taking up a collection for Ron. We don't want him to get run over by a boat doing his recovery dives. So once I collect enough we're gonna get him a highly visible wetsuit:

Hope everyone has a great day!

With a wet suit like that, Ron could dive in the City of Brotherly Love :-P

Another day of teaching today. I need to remember to bring plenty of water - I discovered I got pretty dry flapping my gums all day yesterday.

Have a good one!

Mother Nature's a bitch.

We've been lucky this year so far, no wild fires.

But it did rain, once, since mid-May, IIRC.

Hey Good Morning Gurus. Just got out of morning meetings. Principal cancelled self defense demo from our new security director, something about liability and security people had wives and kids at home. I was suppose to be the poor innocent, frail teacher being attacked. Damn I was pumped! I met the new security guy and kept looking at his ears made him real uncomfortable.
Hey I like the wet suit! may clash with my tanks!
Shit I am not ready for this, met with a parole officer about 9 of my new students. One of the darlings likes to beat up teachers!
Drove the Vette today, no kids, its safe. I see Erin's getting good response on her tire situation. She is getting antzy because she can't work on her zo6, her work schedule is intense this week! I love it! Makes her appreciate her days off and what hard work can accomplish. Well guys the Army is serving us lunch today. Recruiting Sgts. are from 101st. doing their recruiting tour.

Good afternoon Gurus!

Huricanes! Oh no! The wife and I are coming to Orlando in September. We have a time-share there we bought a long time ago. Y2K rings a bell. Anyhow we will be there the 12th-19th. I hope the huricane cycles are off that week.
How hot can we expect it? We haven't been there in ten years but I wanted to get away from here for a week and that was the low budget option at the moment. Any good new attractions in the past ten years?

Jeez Tommy, I'm thinking you were glad to be able to wake up. Tornado country up here but even though they can do incredable damage it is usually in a fairly small area compared to a hurricane.

Catered in! It was good. Military does that for us. They get most of their quota from our school. Military is a very important link in breaking the cycle of poverty.

Hit Cedar Point amusement park yesterday and got on that Top Thrill Dragster. That thing goes straight up 420 feet at 120 MPH. It's a cool place and we had a blast. We hit the Detroit Tigers/KC baseball game tonight - whooeee!!!!

Actually it was more of cat napping through the night. We were all huddled in the living room and kitchen up on mattresses. Stuff smashed into the house and water gushed through any openings. The wood on my roof stayed on so I was really one of the luckier ones. It was all over in about 8 hours. Some of those suckers can go for days. 9 months to rebuild the house, 5 years to rebuild the area, 10 years to look somewhat normal. Still don't have many big trees. They all got blown away.

Tommy I'm glad your OK.
I think Vetron wouldn't look very good in that wet suit! Kind of like the hulk meets Barney and Big Bird. He use to scare the crap out of me when I was a little girl when he would come out off the water and not make any noise at our lake house. He took me diving a couple of times. His tanks are really heavy! he has d rings on the tank pack that i would put my little princess dolls on, it wasn't until years later those rings were for grenades and mines. Wow what can I say! Welcome to my world
