The best part of waking up isn't necessarily Folgers in your cup, but it does seem to help. I'm gonna try to break on through to the other side of this funk today.(not that I don't try everyday) Keeping it simple. I've got some phone calls and appointments to make, a trip to the Post Office and then play with the cars a bit. Maybe organize some more stuff around here. Luckily, it's all tasks I can do at my pace. Have a good'n.

Greetings! Dark and dreary Monday here - I'll be making a bee-line for my nap chair at the earliest opportunity, didn't feel good all night long.

Have a good day, all!

Speaking about all night long, I spent all night in my sleep tracing down electrical and fuel issues on two gasoline generators and an old Jeep Cherokee. Got a visit from some old friends too. Must have been something I ate. Didn't have any mushrooms.

Good Morning CGs!

Well, after the car debacle from last night I'm ready to get in there and start changing some parts!

Wifey is taking rugrat #2 to the dr today for his checkup. Hope all goes well. Maybe rugrat #2 will help daddy work on the cars today

Other than that still have a list of chores to do. Knocking off about on a day at this pace....works for me.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Tommy I get visits from old friends too! plus enemies that I have sent to the other side. Not a big deal! I blame it on pizza and Sam Adams Octoberfest beer.
Dark, rainy and cold this morning, high near 54 degrees.
This weekend was great!! Took the 87 out into wine country in Michigan! 18 plus wineries and I was shit faced after the 3rd winery. Free tastes plus crackers and cheese. Beautiful fall day.
Last night my old Gateway laptop took a dump infected by some chicken virus or something!! Using school computer to communicate with the world.
Erin finally returned home late last night after a week of traveling! Her Fusion got some nice numbers on fuel economy. Kid is burning out!!! She turns 28 next month. I always tell her there is a price you pay for success!
Well guys have a great day!!

A couple of those and a nice glass of JW black took the pain of a broken corvette away last night

Good morning! Weekend was ok, could of gone better but can't worry about things beyond our control. (like football games) Vikings had a good win but K.C. got robbed. Can't even talk about Texas beating my Huskers. Texas 9 wins over the last 15 years Nebraska 1 win.

My wife had heard a grinding noise while we were out on a drive in the Vette. I was worried about it so had her sit in the drivers side and run the engine up to see if I could hear it as I got down and looked under the car. I found a stick stuck up in the undercarriage and dragging on the ground. Got that fixed quick! Yeah, honey I think I got it figured out! No, I don't think I will need the Guru's on this one. Yes, I have learned a lot from them! See I told you that I wasn't wasting time!

There is an article about that Route 341 hill-climb that Bill had a post on awhile back. C&D raceed a Viper ACR-X. They also talk about the guy the got killed racing a Porsche.

Let's go get something done today, and don't sweat the small stuff!

Still need slave and master, and fluids, and someone to put the damn thing in lol.

I swear I'm buying a lift for my next house.

In a month or so, the local news wull be reporting on people dying on the ski slopes.

Hummm, Reno must be dangerous.

But I feel safer here than I would in one of Vetron's classes.

Yesterday was installing the new double din system in Jay's Corvette. Today's job will be changing out the sway bars and links. I think the sway bars will be easier than the radio.

I may have missed it in the arcticle but I thought a ZR-1 had won this year. They were saying that a GT-R driven by Steve Millin did it in 3 min 22.9 seconds. They also say the ACR-X beat Millin but they were disqualified because of their tires were not right.

Yea Lou won (pic above) and he set the track record for street tires (the only tires allowed now).

And he told me at the start that he wasn't going to push it hard. He didn't need to.

Morning guys....it's been a very busy morning already. Matt, I must have missed something, what happened to your car? It must have been a bad weekend all over from the sounds of things.

I have a meeting to attend tomorrow, Principal requested that I go, so I made all the arraignments to attend at their end, today I ask him who my sub was going to be....he had forgotten to tell the secretaries I was going to be gone, so they had to scramble to find subs. Then we called the transportation guy, he'd never gotten a request for a vehicle, so he had to re-arrange so we would have a vehicle. I'm getting the idea that they really didn't want me to go to this. Actually I'd rather not either, but I guess I have to.

Maybe we should all indulge in a SA Octoberfest or two tonight.

Good Morning Guys...

I have been pretty busy trying to figure out where I left off last week and getting caught up.
Matt - I hope all your problem is, is the ICM. I had one go out several years back. I'm sure you are well versed, but, don't forget the thermal grease. Don't use dialectric grease. Many people and parts stores sell dielectric grease instead of the correct thermal grease.

The Ocean City Corvette Weekend was just awesome! There were about 500 cars I think. About 400 less than three years ago when I drove down the boardwalk. I'll get some photos up later tonight when I have more time. I'll start them on a separate thread in C'vette Chat.

Have a great day.

Asst. Superintendent just left after a brief visit to our school. Walks in my shop, organized chaos. 8 students on CAD designing their next project, 4 gluing stiles and rails on cabinets for the building trades, 5 cutting dados, and 4 doing repairs to the shop. Problem:I didn't even know he was in my class, too damn busy. Probably got his Gucci suit dusty!!! I think he wanted to talk to me about last week! kinda got an attitude towards administrators that whine too much and make excuses for things they do that are negative towards the educational process. Its real hard to fix stupid.

Ron, I know what you mean...my administration, after a ton of years basically leaves me alone, except when it requires state or fed funding, then they make me do what is required. My principal walked in today during my 4th hour class to do a "walk through evaluation" not a formal evaluation, just a little walk through to check what I am doing, what the kids are doing, whether or not I have all the appropriate posters up on the wall....etc. I have one of these each month. Then later on I'll have a "formal evaluation". Which he basically does the same thing, only I have to go in and talk to him about it and sign papers saying that I agree/disagree with his evaluation.

Good evening guys! Seems like a long time since I've had a chance to be a forum member.
Traveling alot lately, its getting old! good thing I don't have a family yet, just a dog and a cat. I hope the traveling is done for awhile. Had a couple instances on the road which a female alone at night was troubling to me. Road rage with a guy in a Dodge Truck and group of guys exposing themselves. My only companion besides my cell phone was a Glock. The guys exposing themselves tried forcing me off the road twice. Their pimped out Caddy had a problem keeping up with my Fusion.
I need to get some serious drive time on the ZO6 before its time to put it away for the winter.
Have a great evening. Erin

New brakes are on the truck.

Asked at the stealership about labor costs for my clutch install

Was quoted $750 for FW, clutch, PP, TOB, and hydraulics, but not including the shifter
