Been a while since I have worked on the 91 due to the cold weather, work schedule and the flu.
Why is is that the place you decide to set the jack stands ends up being exactly the spot your body needs to be at in order to reach that one difficult to get to bolt?
Why is it that the jumper wire you are using is about 1" too short?
Why is it that you break something else when you are trying to fix or modify a part?
Why is it that if you are working under the car you never bring the right tool with you?
Please feel free to add more to my rant choir boys.

Why do people put posts in the wrong places???

- moved -

However, I know what you mean. My biggest gripe is getting the socket that is one size too small. It's why my projects seem to take 4x longer than necessary.

I have never had the jack stand problem. I guess I am lucky.

Murphy's law: "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong".

Why is the only gap in the concrete garage floor the one that catches the creeper wheel and locks it in place.

Why does the engine hoist cylinder start to leak after everything's hooked up for an engine pull and you make the firsct couple of pumps.

Why is it that when you start with a simple mod it snowballs on your before you even realize it?

Why is the extension always either just a little too long or too short?

Why can't they either use all metric or all SAE bolts so that you don't have to have 5 dozen sockets/wrenchs out everytime you work on the car?

*I hate that crack too BillH..I stopped using creepers just because of that.

Moving around under the car I always end up lying on the extension cord.
Every part I drop ends up in never never land.
I end up doing every little upgrade/project twice to get it right. The first time's just for practice I guess.
I put on my safety glasses after I get something in my eye.

Why is it you find out about better products at cheaper prices after yours is installed?

Why is it bandaids are in the bathroom when they should really be in the garage?
(If I had a garage)

Why is it I burn my hand when I check to see if something is hot?

Why is it I usually find out something is reverse threaded the hard way?

Why is it my radiator is under pressure when I check to see if it's still under pressure?

Why is it that every bolt you drop never hits the ground?

Why is it that as soon as you're ready to take it for a test run, the battery is dead from leaving the door open?

Why is it when deep into a job someone will call you?

Why is it the spare nuts, bolts, screws and washers you have lying around are too big, too small, too long or too short requiring yet another trip to the store?

Why does a car look dirty just hours after you washed it?

I don't know what you all are talking about. I've never had a problem on any job I've ever done on the corvette. They all worked out perfectly, in less time than expected, and I don't even get dirty.

That's the "Home Depot Paradox" , it applies to any and every project you take on, not just cars.

Why do I always have to pee just as I really get settled into working on something and then have to put down the work and go take care of business.

Why is it that just when I map out four hours on a Saturday to work on my car it is the only four hours my wife wants to do something with me?

Why is it when you brag about your next great project that it never comes out as great as you told everyone it would?
Why is it that when you go look at a car for sale that it rarely lives up to the seller's description?

Why is it that 2 days after you buy the car you thought you really wanted you find one much cheaper and nice.

Do the engineers design that black hole that swallows nuts bolts and tools into the car while it's still in design stage?

Which makes me wonder ......

Why did a chick flash me when I was driving my S10 at 5:00 AM and I've never been flashed in the Vette?

Why if Vettes are a chick magnet are there no chicks attracted to mine?

Why do they say Vette owners compensate for their shortcomings by owning a Vette?

Why, tell me whyyyy, why do fools fall in love?

Why, oh why is it SOOOOOOOO much easier getting the tools out than putting them back?
Why can't I learn that if I put them back where they belong then I will able to find them again rather than going to the hardware or auto parts store and having to buy more?

That's what she said...

Why is the tool you just used not in either of the spots you could possibly have put it down, even though nobody else is in the garage, you always put your tools in the same spot (near the project) and of course, you never have a spare of that particular tool?

And then you find it later in the bathroom because you forgot that you had it in your hand when Don's problem happened and you set it down on the counter and forgot about it...

Why is it that you can have the oem alternator last for 25 years, and then when you upgrade it, the upgrade fries in 4 months and takes out your digital dash and keyless entry system?
