We had some fierce thunderstorms early this morning. Even woke me up which usually doesn't happen. Traffic lights out and trees down on the way to work this morning.

I owe, I owe...of to work I go.

have a great day guru's!

Good morning everyone,

Well... my wife's surgery was cancelled at 6:30pm last night. Her surgeon found what she thinks is more cancer cells in the opposite breast, so she had to go through all the MRIs and sonograms again for the other side. After five hours of testing and preparation for surgery yesterday, her surgeon's office called at 6:30pm and said that the Doctor needed more time review yesterday's tests. So we are a little concerned about the whole situation from the doctors down to the communication and organization of the team and procedures. Meanwhile, I lost a day and a half from work and the aggravation of the whole ordeal. She has to come back again next week for surgery again.

Other than that everything is "same-same".

I'll check in later after I figure out what's going on.

Good luck Don.

I'm headed to HD for a bag of Thinset. Then I'll flip a coin and either paly with tile or try and figure out why the C4's running lean.

Don you just have to stay in the Doc's face as best you can to stay informed. We will keep praying, you keep working at it the best that you can.

Clear skys and warmer today got much to do and some vette parts to find. So far this hasn't been an easy project. Gotta go! Keep shoveling Guru's, there has to be a pony in there somewhere!

Mojo is on the boil, Don! I guess the more and the earlier they know, the better.

I was rolling around on the garage floor all evening getting the exhaust system back together. Got far enough to fire it up for a while and start checking for leaks, etc. - so far so good. A few tweaks when I get home tonight and it should be ready for a test drive. Just in time - the pile of snow at the end of my driveway is a mere shadow of its former self. I will have to be careful of pot-holes, though - the roads are in unusually bad shape. One little side street I was on yesterday near a shopping center looked like the surface of the moon.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Good Morning CGs!

Don - sorry to hear about the complications. But to me it sounds like the doctor is on his game and wants everything to go right!

As far as me, already got rugrat #2 washed up and dressed. Rugrat #1 is eating breakfast watching cartoons. Have to feed the baby soon, too.

Feeling a little more motivated today than yesterday, so that's a good start already! Won't get much work done with the kids in tow, but oh well.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

I ended up in the top 1% of the Yahoo bracket, with 39 of 63 correct picks. My overall rank was 10,105. Too bad I didn't have any money riding on it.

Good afternoon guys.....interweb has been down all morning, so it's my first try log in today.

Don, keep the spirits up, we're behind you. Bill, wood went in the mail yesterday afternoon, let me know when it comes. Weather here is much nicer today, 69* right now, and the wind isn't howling.....yet. Brad, I thin that you'll get that thing going soon. Marcus, did you find the part you were looking for?

Not much going on for me, with the internet down I got a lot more done this morning....imagine that.

I'll check in later.

We are home now and she is resting. Probably will go back on Friday or early next week for the surgery. I was able to talk to the Oncologist today before we left the hospital and I feel a lot better. She apologized for the disconnect in communication but some of the staffers had left last night before the decision to cancel was made. Just taking it one day at a time!

Thanks again for the well wishes and support!

Don, It's more important to do it right the first time. As a seasoned patients spouse I can tell you it's best to have everything figured out before they proceed. As far as missing work, some things have a higher priority. Family has priority. No man is indispensible although we often feel differently. With or without you at work the show will still go on. Besides, with the mountain of paperwork you can present I can't see an employer taking any negative action. Let's just say it's not in their best interest. Mojo is still with ya bro!

My brothers ex just recently said something to the effect of "Too bad we can't get tickets to a Sox game while your here." I commented saying; That's alright, I have to be on call for the hauler anyway. Besides, the last time we went to a Sox game in April we froze our asses off. Low and behold, the call comes today. Tommy, we got tickets to the game on Sunday. It should work out. It's a night game with an 08:00 PM start. There shouldn't be a pick up at that time of day. I told her; Ya that should work out. It's still gonna be cold. Thank God they added some amenities to Fenway Park. They have a Food Court. I told her I might just spend the evening down there drinking hot chocolate and go up from time to time just to look at "The Green Monster". When we go to Boston there's always someone trying to get us to see sporting event. It's usually The Celt's or The Sox. One thing I always notice when I go to many northern towns. They support their teams. Now Miami, You better have a winning team if you want to put asses in them seats. The locals only come out for a winner, unlike some other places that whether you win or lose they still love ya.

I managed to get started on my backsplash. Ceramic tile is way easier than stone, you have to back-butter, even grout lines?---Not. Fun though.

Glad I kept my tile wet saw but I also managed to coat the side of the house & windows with tile saw water (it was windy)

Bill, You should swap the third one on the bottom row with the third one on the third row. Much better feng shui.

I am beat. Had the kids all day and I got in a chest/tri workout around 2:30. Then started making dinner for when the wife got home. We ate and I took Samantha out in the pull behind bike trailer I hooked up. About a 4-5 mile bike ride or so with a lot of hills. That extra 30 lbs makes a difference on the uphills! My quads are a little tired, I'll be feeling it tomorrow. Still it was good to get out and get back in the swing of things. I need to get motivated to start running some more.

Bill - tile looks good.

Tommy - that sounds like a fun evening, even if it's chilly. I've been to a Sox game here, but still never been to a Cubs game. I live on the South Side so that's against the law to go to a Cubs game

Good Evening Guys.
Hang in there Don!
Just returned from the VA Hospital about an hour ago. Never used my VA medical benefits, so had to take a physical, have my 40yr old combat wounds looked at and schrapenel in my left thigh xrayed, yep its still there! medical benefits are bonus when I retire. Vette ran great! hit 29mpg going down and 21 coming back. Love night drives.
My wife's alma mater Butler got beat last night and Notre Dames Womens BB looks good tonight. Skylar #4 had me for woods in high school when she was a sophomore.
Well guys have a great night.

Marcus, I have to celebrate while I can....we are 4 and 1 right now with two extra inning wins. It won't last though, and we'll be at the bottom before long.
