Looks like land fall is going to be right at Wilmington, NC.
Hope David got his beer and hatches battened down tight. But flooding will likely be the biggest problem. |

Prepped for Irene as much as possible yesterday and than stayed up late with the wife watching music videos and drinking.
Woke up this morning to: 1) Lots of small to medium size branches down. 2) A couple of gallona of water in the basement. 3) But we still have power. Still quite windy here, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if we lost power later today. We still have branches falling. |

We are still at my parent's home and still can't get back into town yet. The streets have been closed and hopefully will reopen soon. I'll let you all know the outcome when I get back to the house.

keeping losing power for about 30secs, then it comes back on.
I was more worried about the trees than anything else. |

I also heard that some places didn't have electricity because of Hurricane Irene. I just hope everything will be alright soon.
