Don't mean to step on any toes here by starting this one, but I thought a funny one might help you guys get going today. As I write this, it's about 2:45ish here. A couple hours ago I got home to find RR#2 asleep on my side of the sack. Missuz Bob sez he got freaked out watching "Dawn of the dead" or one of those Zombie flicks and he couldn't go to sleep being alone. So I slowly roust him and as he looks around he starts to get up on his, "rubber," knees.
Just as he turns to look at me in the darkened bedroom I just casually had to ask, "Can I eat yer brains?" Man... his head whipped back at me and his eyeballs were as big as hubcaps! At he same time he brought up both fists and was he ever ready to stop me from chowing down on his noggin! And the whole time he's wobbling back and forth on those shaky assed legs! I started to laugh, he wanted to fight, and Mrs Bob got mad but was laughing too. It was all we could do to get him settled back down to go back to sleep. I'm still not sure if I get to sleep in my own rack tonight, but it was worth it!

You guys have a good Thursday.

Good morning gang.

Hope you and the mrs were able to get a good night sleep after your zombie attack. A picture of the little one would have been priceless.

Not much going on today. Mostly sunny temps in the high 70's.

It's a gray day ... again. Taking the dogs for a bath and cut/brushout later today. I have to go pressure wash the iron gates at the old house and get them ready for paint. Might do it. Might not. No doubt I'll do something today. I always do .....

Morning guys....we woke up to 2" snow on the ground, yea, May 2nd. We haven't seen snow in this part of the state in May since I don't know when. It's sunny right now, but is supposed to stay cold for a few days. We are off to KC after school to a convention.

Hidey-ho! There was about a half-inch of snow on my lawn this morning. 20 minutes southeast, they got 9 inches, and a little further south, 13 inches. Location, location, location, they say. Ick.

Keep warm, Gurus!

Good Morning. Great Day! Sunny, high near 80 in Granger, Indiana. Trees are starting to bloom, and my yard needs intensive care.
So TeeBee is retirement in the picture for you soon?

Morning all.....Bob I'm afraid the kid is scarred for life but it is funny....I remember watching Twilight Zone when I was a kid and having to go into my parents bed because I was so scared.....so they banned the show from us kids and that was that....

Cold and gray but no rain now and no snow either. No work today but that's ok I am still on the mend with maybe 80 to 85% back to normal.

After listening to the Guru I have decided to put in a soft water spigot for washing the cars. Looking forward to being able to do that this year. I will no doubt still run the work stuff through the car washes but our personal cars we can do at home.

Have a good day Guru's......

My neighbor was over last night talking about her brother (he lives alone) that has 3300 acres of land in Indiana. There is another family, a rival, that has about the same amount of land in the same area. Here's the kicker. The rivals are cousins. Whenever a property comes up for sale, they all scramble to see who can get it first.

Yeah...land barrons, just like the old days. We have the same thing out here. Families have been split apart over land many times. I have clients who can't stand their cousins and beat each other up at the land auctions and such. At 10,000 dollars an acre out here it doesn't take long to be a millionare.

Ugly here today, rain due in, then supposed to only be a high of around 50 tomorrow after it being 88 yesterday. Nothing to work on at work and today, that's ok by me. The coffee house dood next door roasts his own beans and he has that thing fired up so I'm thinking I might walk over for a cup. Big cup. He sells he 24-ouncers. Might need that as this will be a long dreary day....
and I agree on the photo of Bob's child - that would have been a priceless pic or video!

Hey Ron, yea it's because I can. Actually they haven't offered me my contract yet for next year, so, who knows, maybe I'm done after this year. Otherwise, my plan is to go at least one more year. We got the house paid off this spring and I'd like a year to pay the car and the pickup down or off. The little MSers are the ones that drive me insane. My HSers are pretty good yet.

My Maxima had a recall on the nav programming, so I took it in and figured I'd get the oil changed and tires rotated while they're at it. Turns out the head gaskets are leaking, so it's a good thing I took it in. No skin off my butt, but glad it was caught early.

Good Evening CGs!

That's a good story, Bob

Marcus - that's a typical summer evening/weekend in Chicago. I'd like to move somewhere with mild temperatures and nice roads. Maybe when I'm 60...

Brad - after two transmissions in our Nissans I will never buy another one. Personal preference.

Rich - I don't need to take my wife anywhere, I get enough whine at home

As far as me, I spent about an hour and a half making a lot of bends in a trans cooler line. Finished it up and thought it was perfect...until I tried to put the adapter on the end for the cooler and found out there wasn't enough straight tube. DAMN! So now I get to do it all over again. At least I have a template.
