Good morning gang.

It was very cool yesterday. I don't think it made it to 65 and it rained on and off most of the day. Today should be mostly sunny and temps in the 60's.

I have the day off and I am going to enjoy the long weekend.
The mrs has to work tomorrow but then is off and we will enjoy the lake this weekend.

I hope our friends in WA st were not affected by the bridge collapse. Thank god no one was killed.

Kidikanang afiningge!

We finally had sunshine yesterday, so I mowed the estate while I had a chance. After all this rain, the yard is lush - practically had to bale the grass. Sounds like our reprieve from the rain is going to be brief, and the weekend looks lousy. Naturally things will perk up when it's time to go back to work.

Have a good day, yawlz!

We got a text late last night from my oldest daughter that she and her husband were ok and not on the bridge in Washington when it collapsed. She had just been over it on her way home from being with us for graduation last weekend. Built in 55 and carries about 71,000 vehicles a day.....hmmmmm.....crumbling infrastructure comes to mind...we also are thankful that no one got killed....

Today we work and I plan on taking a 3 day weekend and I hope I can drive the car in some decent weather but schools still out on that....yesterday afternoon turned out very nice....we could use some more of that......

Gotta go now...see ya later......have a safe day and stay off of all bridges.......

It appears that most research study presented by the government on the the effects of Mary Jane are tainted. Sounds more like it was a Puritanical purge backed up with strong enforcement measures.(not that our government would ever try to ram ethical behavior initiatives down our throats) We have all witnessed the effectiveness of national drug programs, incarceration, and social pressure. Or shall I say ineffectiveness. Weed is evil. It is the devils spawn.

I've been meaning to fire up a bone in my retirement but I'm too damned busy. It would just send me to the refrigerator then off for a nap. I already do that without sparking up a chubby. One day I may sample the medical benefits of this organic product again. Just not now .....

Morning guys....I've been off this morning at the job site, conferring with electricians, contractors and inspectors. Got the OK to do a couple things I wasn't sure were going to be legal as far as where I can put and what type of cabinetry is acceptable for a specific location.

I'm home now getting ready to go to KC. I'll check in later.

Wow, all this talk about weed....and I have never smoked a joint in my life!

I had a good day working on my car and in my friend's shop. Got the trans pulled in about 3 leisurely hours. We also fitted the hood to my buddy's 91 firechicken and then I rebuilt his headlight motors. They are very similar to the vettes. We did take a lunch break, too. Overall a great day.

I finally did something today. I put new KYB shocks on my Vette. It did make a difference. You could push in the old ones by hand.

I then went with my mechanic buddy to his mother's house and took down a big tree. It really was fairly easy. He has a JD Front end loader with a gin poll. Climb out to the end and wrap a chain around the tree. Cut it off and lower it down. He also has a semi with a 30' hay trailer he built to haul big bales. It has a hydraulic push off for the bales. It works good on the trees also. Haul to the dump and push off. I did a lot of supervising and enjoyed the refreshments afterwards.

Have a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend.

All this talk about weed and all the manual labor I have done today and knowing how sore I am all over makes me want some weed. Had aspirins and a beer instead and headed to bed. Get to do it all over tomorrow .
