Good morning gang.

About the same today as yesterday for the weather here.

Word of the DayTuesday, July 30, 2013

esse\ ES-se; Eng. ES-ee \, noun; 1. being; existence.

Origin:

Esse comes from the Latin word of the same spelling meaning "to be." It has been in English since the 1600s.

Good Morning CGs!

I am off today and we are taking the kids to go blueberry picking shortly. There is a large blueberry farm about 45 minutes south of us that we like to go to. Bonus is there is a great little hole in the wall diner we stop at for lunch. Should be a nice time.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

I'm feeling better today. Almost normal, but there is no hope for that. The best I can ever achieve is near normal or possibly, looks normal.

Nursery duties today.
Mow, mow, mow the grass, gently down the slope ..... Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily ... later wash with soap.

The puppy got whatever BlackJack has. The saga continues. The drain on finances is on. Looks like I'll be working on some no cost projects for the next couple of months. No problemo.

Gesikolo tekepo!!

Drizzly and dreary here - hope it clears up by tee-time this afternoon. Sounds like a fun family day, Matt! Glad to hear you're on the mend, Tommy.

Stay dry, Gurus!

Morning guys...Brad not to put a damper on your wish, but I hope it rains here. We still need a lot of rain, we got a tease last night, but no rain. Supposed to be 90 here and a chance for rain.

My golf wasn't too good last night, must have used up my good shots over the weekend. No matter we still got to eat after we were done.

Starting a couple new projects today, so I need to get with it. Glad to hear your doing better Tommy. Matt don't eat too many of those blueberries or you'll have a tummy ache. Brad, I do hope YOU stay dry

Geez..it's like we live in Minnesota here today....foggy damp gloomy.....what up with that?

Tommy glad you are better and I don't know about your doggies. I do know that the Vet my married daughter was using for their dog out in Denver wanted 4 or 500 bucks to neuter him and back here it was 78 dollars (and cheaper yet if you would hold the dog still while they did it) hahaahaha..... It sounds like you are paying a lot there...is it an ag based large and small animal veterinary service or a small animal only? Sometimes it can get expensive when they know Mrs. so and so will pay anything to have FIFI healthy in the small animal world....

Matt....go gettum, sounds like a great day for family...

Me I gotta work but hopefully not very hard and I better get to it. Have a safe day Guru's...

Good Morning gang !

Last night I was on my way over to visit Michelle when it dawned on me, "Hey, it's Monday and that is cruise night !"
I decided to stroll through and see what was there. Unfortunately, the camera was at home. It must have been Corvette night as they had multiple examples of all 6 generations. There was even an all blue '54 there. Nice viewing. Couple things that caught my eye, '70 Monte Carlo 454, '72 Monte Carlo 454, '68 Vette 454 (I do like big blocks) beautiful '68 Nova in Candy Black Cherry.

Maybe next week I will go again and take the magic picture box with me.

Kids got bored rather quickly and it started drizzling so I brought them back to the main area so they can play in the sandbox and on the swings. Wife and MIL are still out there. Blueberries are huge and sweet this year. I only ate a dozen or so, we will end up with 8-10 lbs to take home. It adds up quickly.

There's a parrot in that photo?

Storming here. It could have done that yesterday so when I had to help out at the body shop I would not feel like I was missing out on my pool time while I started out the window up there all by myself bored watching the door and phone while the owner was out running errands. Supposed to do this mess all through the weekend. I have four day weekends and I swear this year I have not had maybe one day each weekend to be outside and enjoy things it seems like. Anybody need some of this rain? Teebee?
Waiting for some of my truck parts to come in, should be here today but I saw online where they went from CA to Memphis then back to Southaven MS.. wTH? That's backwards. They should come straight from Memphis to here. Makes no sense.

Just finished off another computer....the one that would not update Win 7 to SP1. Took quite a bit of work and research and an expert on a Windows forum to figure it out and get it fixed. I'll text the lady and tell her it's done.

Now out to the shop!

Does your dog like to watch TV? How about a treat? A buck a bone. Maybe the Reverend Stig could offer dog counseling, astrology, aroma therapy (highly recommended) and tarot card reading. We'll be rich. Rich I tell ya.

Speaking of dogs. The pup had to get two injections and all three dogs are now being treated for this contagious lung infection. Lovely. Simply f@(%!ng lovely. My regular vet is providing the service for these guys so it won't be anything like the emergency treatment I had to get for BlackJack. Ka-ching.

Ended up with 25 lbs of blueberries. On the way home we stopped at a favorite little diner. Then we hit the highway and sat in 45 minutes of 5 mph traffic..grrrrr.

Brake booster came in so I decided to install it. Everything came out smooth. Had it out in 20 minutes, no joke. Went back in the car and bolted up in less than 15 minutes. Can't be that easy, right? Right. The new booster has shorter studs than the old one to mount the mc. Would fit the old mc ok. So it seems I have to remove the spacer and grind some of the mc mounting pad off. Never easy on a modified car.

You have to be fast and place the last bid with 30-45 seconds left.

And bid the highest you are actually willing to pay. Your bid will only increase to the amount needed to beat the counterbid.

It takes practice and even then you will lose some. Then you can say "They paid what?"

Bidding on some Honda parts on ebay.....never done this before getting kind of nervy as the clock ticks away towards the end of the auction....I really would like to have the parts.....and I am bidding against someone...

any advice....?

Wait until the last 5 seconds or so and bid higher than you want to pay (lol) or at least the highest you are willing to pay. If you try to bid in smaller amount increments and if it's not high enough, the auto bid will beat you out and you won't have time to raise yours.

Ebay picks the next minimum bid amount...for example if it's a 99 cent item the next bid must be 1.05 or higher. Next bid after 1.05 must be 1.29 or higher...and so on. If you bid 81, the next bid might have been 82.29. The other bidder could have put in 150.00 (willing to pay), but ebay will take the next highest bid necessary to win the auction.

ebay raises it fitty cent, next, a dollah . It's the bidders that throw in the curves. Some guy prolly bid $81.29 to beat the $81 bid and the next guys autobid was a buck more. I bid off amounts all the time. That's because I'm slightly off. Sometimes the seller offers it at say $20.34. That's another way it stays off unless a bidder rounds it up.
