Weather is good here also with a high of 46 expected...
I'm not much of a shopper but the women stormed out of here like a herd wilderbeasts being chaised by a lion....Do not get in their way..... I got a Go Pro Hero3 so that soon I can become a You Tube legend....and I got one of these for the Grand Sport....Their dyno tests show a 20 hp gain and 30 ft/lbs of torque when used with a cat back sport exhaust system which I have on the car already. So 10 hp for the exhaust and 10 hp gain with the intake system.....its carbon fiber. Have a great day Guru's hope you don't have to work....  |

I have just spent the last hour and a half trying to get that ill fitting sonofabitch CAI to fit. Three things have to line up for it all to fall in place and its just not happening.....went online to Corsa and nothing there, their printed instructions are no help and Corsa is on a hiatus until after the first of the year.....
 Pisses me off.......I must have got the prototype.....It's a nice piece but the filter unit on the end is what is giving me headaches.......more later.... |

On a lighter note, I'm having a celebratory beverage in honor of having cut the last piece of tile for the entry hall. Soon I'll be able to move on to the kitchen/dinette area where there's at least a little elbow room to work.

Dogs got me up at 07:00 and my day began soon after (after my two cups of coffee). Cleaned up the pig cooking box, all the trays and grids. Lots of pork fat and skin to extricate from everything. Put away the tent I erected for the dogs on the side of the house, the fence to keep the dogs contained and away from the guests, the volley ball net and post, lots of chairs, tables, coolers etc, etc, etc, Everything is pretty well back to normal except for putting away the Christmas stuff but won't do that till next week. After that I resume the usual work avoidance tactics and unavoidable emergency phone calls .......... Ring .... Ring ........ I don't usually make a New Years resolution but this year I may make an exception. I resolve to take as many Wednesdays off as possible and make them a dedicated day of DNBFS or in my case .... a mental health day. I know Matt will make his usual resolutions as he has every year. If I'm not mistaken, they're the same ones, over and over and over again. At least he has them committed to memory.

Hello folks....not much happening here today. Mom's not doing too bad. The thing I noticed since being here this time is that the spell Dad had in the hospital and then Moms' fall have really taken a toll on him. He has aged dramatically in the last three weeks. Mom is doing well considering her situation. We are going out to Rosie's sisters house pretty soon. #1 daughter and family is headed here now so we will get to see them soon.
Marcus, that is a nice CAI, if you can get it to work. Tile work doesn't sound like much fun, Brad, but glad you're making headway. A Franklin, Letty? I could take care of a Franklin. They still have your truck, Tommy? Maybe it will be perfect...... Bill, sandpaper doesn't always fit your hands. Take care guys... |

Sometimes you have to know when to walk away......went back to the shop after a 2 hour break and put it on in about 5 minutes......the trick is not to tighten the air filter to the intake unit until it is all in place....it really needs a smaller dimension filter. The instructions said to tighten the filter on first......
