Good morning gang.

Just a dusting of snow overnight. Temps are in the teens with highs in the 20's.

In celeberty news Harold Ramis died yesterday.

Not much else going on.

Word of the Day Tuesday, February 25, 2014

sciamachy\ sahy-AM-uh-kee \, noun;

1. an act or instance of fighting a shadow or an imaginary enemy.

Origin:

Sciamachy is derived from the Greek skiamakhia , which translates literally to "fighting in the shade," giving name to the practice in ancient Greece of instructors teaching in shaded public places, such as porches and groves.

Good Morning CGs!

Well after reading Tommy's posts at the end of chat yesterday, we are having a party at Tommy's house. Don't worry, he has enough chairs to go around.

Cold here again. All this week cold and the overnight temps are frigid again.

Gas jumped about .30-.40 here in the last couple days. Diesel only went up a few cents to 3.96 for premium. It usually fluctuates around 3.85, but I will see it at 3.75 or 3.95 depending on the conditions. I can deal with that. The cold weather affects the mileage, but it's still hard to beat the 32 avg I'm getting now. So I can't complain too much.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Morning guys....the cold air swept through last night and it 9 this morning. Supposed to be pretty chilly all week and a chance of snow later.

Fuel prices have jumped here as well. Not sure what's driving that.

Cold here also and going to get colder.....hmmmm...wonder what Brad is doing right now....?

Have not been keeping track of fuel prices much but I did notice that there was a 20 cent difference between E10 and regular.....E10 being cheaper....20 cents adds up....

Got early meeting so have to get going....got outbid on a big account yesterday and that hurt....I hate losing to anybody.....but its a dog eat dog deal right now in Ag...

Just need to get 6 little numbers to line up......

Have a warm day snowbound Guru's and a cool day for our friends in the warmer climes......

Cold weather has returned here as well along with the snow. We got a 3 - 4 inch dusting this morning. My normal 20 - 25 minute commute took an hour and 10 minutes today. You would think that with all the snow we have had this winter, people would be able to drive in it.

I worked on taxes last night, getting a wee bit back from both fed and state. Something to add to the 'vette fund.

Gas prices also jumped in this area. I have seen 3.619 for regular unleaded at the local BP station. They seem to be one of the highest stations in the area.

That's all for now.

I dropped off all the tax paperwork to the accountant yesterday. I have it all organized and totaled so they can just plug in the numbers. The business paperwork is already finished. I'm pretty sure we'll have to pay. It's been that way for years. Sue's grandfather used to say. What's the gig deal on paying taxes? That means your making money. Maybe so but I still hate paying taxes.

The price of gasoline ....... I have a choice. Get gasoline or not get gasoline. For some reason I always seem to get the gasoline. I always like it at a lower price though. Who remembers .35 a gallon? Course cars were only getting 5 to 12 mpg. Still, it was nice to fill up a car for $6.00

OBAMA PRICES. THE PROFIT MOBAMA DOES NOT LIKE THE PEASANTS TO BE TOO MOBILE.

.35 A GAL? OH YEAH. I TELL MY GRAND KIDS WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL I COULD GET A GALLON OF GAS, A BOTTLE OF BEER, A PACK OF CIGARETTES, OR A HAMBURGER FOR 25 CENTS. THEY GIVE ME THIS "YEAH, RIGHT, AND YOU WALKED TO SCHOOL UP HILL BOTH WAYS" LOOK.

All this gas pricing - how bout 10 cents a gallon for premium, back around 1965 in Colorado. Those were the days when we had big gas pricing wars going on.

How about this http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/02 ... aks-record_n_4851208.html. I guess for $1.2 Million you should get some bragging rights.

Bill, have you ordered yours yet?

I don't want to save fuel......I want to burn it up as much as I can and as fast as I can....there is so much oil out there we will not run out anytime soon....so rev them up and lets have some fun....

I can remember .17 cent fuel and a lot of .25 cent fuel....let's see..... .25 x 20 = 5.00 bucks per fill, you and 4 other guys out cruising on Saturday night and everyone chips in a buck and we're good to go.....let's stop and get some .25 cent burgers at the Golden Arches and make sure you back in to watch the parade of hot cars and the chicks all packed into daddy's car who are cruising thru to make another round down main street...

Later the word is out that a Hemi Cuda from Westside High is racing Smitty's 440 Six Pack with 4:11's in it, from our high school. 11:00 pm out at the strip....where the blacktop runs out in the country. We gotta go check that out, Smitty may need some help.....Hope Novak doesn't show in his 67 Big Block Vette....nobody can beat that asshat....His Daddy owns the Chevy Store in town and the word is that his half the windshield is custom ground so he doesn't have to wear glasses when he's driving....no shit that's what I heard....

Yeah those were the days......

Having a fast street car is like kissing your sister.

Yea, it's a Black Rose 92, though the color blind morons on a certain Corvette web site can't figure that out.

It is fast enough to blow off most C5 & C6 drivers on the racetrack though.

Mini-golf day is gonna be a blast. BBQ, beverages and snacks, plus 9 holes to see who's is the neighborhood champion. If We need to play 18 we'll just play the 9 back to the 1. Of course the 19th hole will be the draw. It won't happen for a couple of months. I have about 5 more islands to build in the yard. One project coming up will be a tribute to the red white and blue. I'll post pics along the way.
