Good morning gang.

Chilly here today temps this morning are in the mid 30's with rain this afternoon. We should get about an inch worth so of course the flood warnings are out in the area till Thursday.

Mickey Rooney Died yesterday.

Lets get going.

Word of the Day Monday, April 07, 2014

achromic\ ey-KROH-mik \, adjective;

1. colorless; without coloring matter.

Origin:

A combination of a- and chromic , achromic entered English in the 1750s. The prefix a- is a variant of an- , which meant "not," "without," or "lacking" in Greek, as in the words anarchy and amoral . A common variant is achromous.

Morning guys....I need to get going early today. I worked on a computer up at the Senior Center over the weekend and I need to get it back before they start showing up to try and use it. Cool damp and cloudy again. We've had about an inch and a half over the last 60 hours. Not a lot, but good ground soakers, the type of rain we need.

Howdy! It might rain today, but I drove the Vette anyway. After conducting numerous tests, I have determined that they don't melt. Hard to imagine that I had to use the snowblower on Friday - that snow is all gone and then some.

Have a good day, Gurus!

Good Morning CGs!

It was a busy weekend filled with parties. Ate a lot of junkie food so I need to get back on track. Yesterday was a recovery day, so no lifting, but today I will hit it hard with a shoulder workout.

RR#1 is on spring break this week so we will have to figure out some fun things to do to keep her occupied.

Car was running well the other day. New panel should be in today or tomorrow so I can finish the dashboard and get it buttoned up.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Rained here starting late yesterday. I got all my yard stuff done just in time. Search is on this morning for the (this doesn't sound right) lowest price for a cremation for my cousin in the nursing home. No, she ain't dead yet - she asked me to get this done and paid for while she still has the money in the bank. Not a bad idea... I already have my headstone filled out all but the last name and date and plan for a cremation myself. Soon as my coffee's over that's my mission.
Happy Monday everyone.

SUNSHINE HERE FOR THE MOMENT, DOUBT IT WILL LAST LONG. WE'VE HAD TWO AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN OVER THE LAST THREE DAYS.

PERSONALLY, I CAN'T GET TOO EXCITED OVER POSTMORTEM PLANS. I PROMISED EVERYBODY I WON'T COMPLAIN WHAT EVER THEY DO WITH THE REMAINS :-)

GMCG's

Warm and breezy in the deep south of Florida. I was up at 06:00 and out the door at 07:00. Lots of running around to do today. My energy level has been down. Really need to crank it up a couple of notches. Haven't broken a sweat in awhile now.

Weather for the week - perfect.

Yesterday, in addition to driving a C7, I was out in a Lotus Elise , they really rock, extremely light weight.

Then a member came over and asked me to take his wife on track for her birthday, she has a 99 C5, never been on the track.

Then the Race Director asked me to take a Corvette driver out in my car and show him how to drive on the track. he showed up with a clapped out 88 racecar and had no clue.

Back to the sand paper today or tomorrow.

Good morning - and it's actually still more morning for most of you, too!

Monday is catch up day since I'm at my shop all weekend.

Letty - I think that's good planning on her part. My mom told me AGES ago what she wants. Haven't shopped for anything yet, but at least we know the plan.

I didn't realize so many of you weren't on Facebook. I guess you're not seeing the video links that I've been posting there. I'll have to add them to the video library here.

What can you do on a cruise besides tour ports of call? Here's one of the new cruise ships from Princess Cruise Lines. Looks like a little bit of everything.

There are a variety of cruise lines that cater to different client bases. We've been on Carnival and NCL. Now we're going on Princess. They have a smart casual and formal dress code on our next cruise. I generally avoid that environment but it should be fun. I'll get to use some of my clothes and jewelry that never get to see the light of the sun. I'll also get to display my manners.

Oh, ya. Got my Yukon windshield replaced today. Out the door was $197 and change. I had visions of twice that so I ain't complaining. The people at the shop were all super nice. Can't say the same for the bull head at the machine shop that's doing the skid steer motor. The shop is organized and they have plenty of work but it isn't because of the personality of the shop foreman. No matter. It's performance not personality that's important in machine work. Not everyone can be as personable as me.

yeah, I'm good with her planning her end ahead, we got it done for $1088, she had a $500 policy there to start with. That will include two death certificates and obits in the local papers. Personally for me, I have my headstone made out, want cremation, and I have no kids, spouse, significant other, parents, siblings or anyone. I have no one to leave anything to - I have told a friend that if I still have my Vette he can have it and my cousin can have my pickup, the shit in the house should be sold for fair price, take the cash, pay whoever i owe, hire some strippers and get some beer kegs and have a good time on me and be done with it... That's bout it for my butt...
And yes, from the sound of it, whatever Rich had, I"ll have some too....

Lemons is about as good as "Travel Trailer Figure 8 Racing".

I figured they would just leave your urn on a park bench or perhaps a beach chair. Maybe a bus stop? Tree stump? Large rock? Furniture store?

Have four extra tickets for the Robbie Knievel (son of Evel Knievel) event at the Ford Center next weekend in Glendale, AZ if anybody wants them.

Robbie is going to try to jump over 1,000 Obama supporters with a Caterpillar D-9 bulldozer.

SHAME IT'S SO FAR AWAY.

Busy day, I just came in from the shop and checked my FB account. Thanks to all who have liked my CCC page, I'm almost there to my first 30 likes. That opens up something, I'm not really sure what it is, but I think it's good.

I turned a bottle stopper tonight for someone here, I'll try to get it in the mail tomorrow or Wednesday.

GOT THIS E-MAIL:

Have four extra tickets for the Robbie Knievel (son of Evel Knievel) event at the Ford Center next weekend in Glendale, AZ if anybody wants them.

Robbie is going to try to jump over 1,000 Obama supporters with a Caterpillar D-9 bulldozer.

SHAME IT'S SO FAR AWAY.

They're still looking for a Republican that knows how to start a bulldozer.

Either way ......... I'm an Independent. I'll vote for the best candidate. Let me rephrase that, the better of several loathsome sonofabitches.

There are a lot of Republicrats and Demolicans out there. I vote for common sense, a rare commodity these days.
