When I signed up for Crime Watch I thought I would just have a secondary role in the group. First my neighbor asked if we could meet on our patio since it was well suited for the bimonthly meetings. Sure, why not? Next I was appointed a block captain as were few other guys that spend a lot of time home. Sure, why not? Now they want to invite the county commissioner and staff over for a meeting to discuss quality of life issues. Wonderful. Keep in mind I'm one of the guys that sits in the back and grumbles when people bring up stuff only marginally related to Crime Watch. I would have much rather joined a group of lawless renegades that cruise the neighborhood with bats, chains and handguns persuading uninvited vagabonds that they are not welcome in our neighborhood. Alas, this is a civil age and diplomacy reigns supreme, even when dealing with scofflaws. No matter. We still take a bite out of crime.

Good Morning CGs!

So yesterday was a very cool day. I got to meet a car collector and see about half of his collection, which includes some beautiful corvettes. It all started when I saw a corvette on a flat bed and went over to talk to the guy. So the cars I saw in this pretty vast collection including a 71 baracuda 330, 2000 mile 82 crossfire, 9000 mile 93 ruby 50th ZR1, 20,000ish mile 2002 or 2004 show car z06, and get this...a 29 mile 04 commemorative edition z06. Yes, 29 miles. Amazing. He was driving a panamer for his dd, of course. Told me he has a cobra replica, a street rod, ferrari, lambo, and a few other ones at home that I can't even remember right now. I asked him if he wanted to adopt an adult son Very nice guy, too.

Other than that, not much to report. Should be a beautiful day here. Have to take the Nissan to the dealer to get spanked on a new key and programming. Should be around $300 - ouch.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Kilar tandi! And that car collection sounds kilar, too, Matt. Glad Friday is finally here, this week has been a grind.

Here's a C4 tip - I usually put my hand on the sill to lever myself out of the car. This morning I discovered that if your jacket gets wedged in between your hand and the sill, it makes it somewhat more difficult to get out.

Enjoy your Friday, Captain Tommy and the other Gurus!

Do they call you Captain T-Bone?

Now you'll get to listen to hours of politically correct drivel.

More interesting than driving your sports car on the track I guess..............for some.

Fortunately most of this stuff came about after I was in my prime. Perish the thought that I may have thought about actually doing any of that stuff. I did enough crazy $#!+ as it was .......... all of it tame (lame) by today's standards.

E.D. problems.....

What happens when you ask for help with an erection lasting more than 4 hours? I walked into a drug store and asked to talk to a male pharmacist.

The woman I was talking to said that she was the only pharmacist and as she and her sister owned the store, there were no male employees. She then asked if she could help me.

I said that it was something that I would be much more comfortable discussing
with a male pharmacist. The lady pharmacist assured me that she was completely
professional and whatever it was that I needed to discuss, I could be confident that she would treat me with a high level of professionalism.

I reluctantly agreed and began by saying... "This is tough for me to discuss, but I get erections every day that last more than four hours. It causes me a lot of
problems and severe embarrassment, and I was wondering what you could
give me for it." The pharmacist said... "Just a minute, I'll talk to my sister."

When she returned, she said, "We discussed it at length and this is the absolute best we can do." "1/3 ownership in the store, a company pickup truck, a king size bed and $3,000 a month in living expenses."

Yes it is my day off. I have every other Friday off and I love the three day weekends.

On with today. Sunny here with temps in the upper 50's and lower 60's.

Well I spent 5 hours at the nurseries. Cut all the grass but not without incident. About 2/3rd's the way through the drive pulley spring gave out. Luckily the local lawn mower shop had one in stock. Looked like they were selling out of everything they had in stock. Somebody in the company looted it's assets. Looks like they're dissolving. There were two old dudes there and a young Hispanic guy to handle the Spanish speaking customers. Selling out to the walls. Sucks really. Now I'll have to find a new parts supplier or order stuff online. I prefer to fix stuff as it breaks, not put it on hold till parts arrive . A man gotta do what a man gotta do.
