What is your favorite modern day American powerhouse (not a Corvette) and not a motorcycle? What would you like to have parked outside your place?

This Saleen S7 although a Supercar looks like it has potential. Twin turbo, 750 hp and things that make you go hhhmmmmmmm! I could live with that. The car would be nice too.

I'm reasonable...I'd like to have a 2002 WS6.
I agree the Ford GT and the Saleen are nice cars, but imho they are not "muscle cars", they are "supercars" that the average guy can't afford. Matthew |

That's really where I was going Matt until Notorious launched a monster. They are exotics with muscle. T/A, GTO, Stang etc was more the way I was thinking. Something that is within our grasp.... Ya.... That's the ticket. Sorry for hijacking my own thread.

Modern day. Hmm, not much floats my boat, really.
Somethign from Factory Five maybe...Saw a Noble awhile back that was cool. CC had a link from one of the FF kits that I wouldnt mind havin. New cars, over them -Too many electronics and on board nanny controls for me. Like things simple and dont need a service guy telling me I didnt warm it up properly at 3:45 two and a half weeks ago . They can tell that stuff now, scary. Edit: How ironic I post this..Service engine soon light just popped on in my truck. lol |

You are absolutely correct sir. As indicated, I didn't expect you to launch a monster. Muscle car definition according to Wikepedia is basically an inexpensive or common body with a big motor. There is not a lot of new American stuff that really gives me that "got to have it" feeling though a Ford GT always gets my attention. Thank you for your contribution. |

If the car was free? Ford GT, all the way.
If it was my money paying for the car? There are a few I would consider as my next vehicle. But I don't know if I would give up the Ruby for any of them: The new Camaro, if they ever actually mass produce it. The new Challenger. Ohhh BABY! Pontiac G8. In case I decide to take a practical road. It would be great to have a car that has the torque of my old '93 (and then some) while being able to haul the kids. The wife can stay at home.... |

macpherson strut front suspension... (bleh)
20" wheels... (god help us) $42K MSRP... (ouch) 6-speed costs extra... (girly men unite!) 22 highway mpg... (oink oink) The muscle car is dead. They need to trim down the price and options. If I want a 4,200 lb car with heated seats and 13 speakers, I'll buy a Cadillac. Can't find much info on the Caddy from their own website, except for maybe the type of wood grain in the shift knob. |
