Sorry to hear that. I hope the proceeds will help you get back on your feet Ron. All this material shit can be replaced one day. Believe me, I've done it more than once.

Ron, everytime I see a new F150 on the road I remember how happy I was to get rid of mine (and the car payment too) after a year of headaches trying to sell it in a crappy market.

You don't want or need that Z. Hopefully the new owner enjoys it, and you can put the cash to some better purpose, like finishing up your Elky and knocking out some bills.

Yup. Selling it was the right thing and you know it. I know it sucks to sell it, but you were cursing it every day you were sitting on it with it being *not* sold. This is a good step in the right direction.

BTW, now that you are vetteless you have to leave immediately. Thanks for playing.

JK buddy!

Beach, I havent worked the better part of this year so this was a must not a want..Cant live in it.

Guy came back and wants the extra motor also, wise move "just in case".

Ill miss the car and plenty of you guys here but in general I just dont know if the Vette crowd is my thing;better if I say no more.

I like the cars but hate working on them, the stereotypes, etc ...They are neat/fun to look at and drive but I certainly dont worship them or buy into that BS that they are "magical", rare, investments, "special" or hold any crazy mind altering powers. Its a car.

Ron, I know it was hard, but I think you made the right decision.

Now that the Z is gone, what are we gonna talk about when you call? BTW, I'm thinking about pulling the 383 this weekend and re-installing the 327. Stop by if you feel like spinning some wrenches. Oh, and bring your Sawzall in case the '62 starts acting up.

Don't worry Ron, I don't like Corvette owners either.

I got a new ZR1 for xmas though, it's 1/43 scale, so I figure I'll offer it to you for 1/43rd of MSRP.

Right now Im working on the Z doing some improvements for him to complete the sale. Ill have the 67 up and running by Feb no matter what. Just in time for some spring track runs, plenty to talk about. See whats going on this weekend.

Ouch.... and this economy isn't getting any better at the moment either.

Can I ask what is your trade ?

If you were here, I would have had a nice project for you with my vette.....I've got a big list of to-do's, that I just don't know if my back is up for. :shaking: Thinking about just paying somebody....

Ron,

Keep a thread going in the "other cars" section.

I'm sure everyone on the forum would like to see the progress on the ElCo.

That thing's going to sound nasty when it fires up!
