7:30 am Monday, I am getting otoplasty. My ears protrude. Decided to get them reshaped and pinned back. Hopefully get pics up. No insurance does not cover it. I have talked it over with my parents, they agreed to it. I will be breathing on my own during the anesthesia(sp). Takes about 1 1/2 hours. Im pretty nervous and scared about death. The surgeon has beein doing surgery for over 15 years. Has the highest degree, very nice, great staff, and talked with me for a good 20 minutes going over why i wanted to do it and he told me on the spot, if you are doing this for someone else other than yourself, please leave. I said nope, it's all for me. I don't like the way they look so we got the date and wow, hehe, im excited and scared. They got all these machines I am going to be hooked up to so if something goes wrong, they will no it righ then. Wants a follow up the next day, and told me he will continue to follow up with me for several months and if I am not satisfied, he will do more surgery until I am pleased with it. I get a IV of anthestesia...Ummm...Registered nurse, surgeon, few staff members. It will be performed in his office in a approved Operating suite. I saw it, looks nice. :-) Hope everything turns out. If I don't log back in ever again, theres a reason...haha. Hope that does not happen though.

To ease your worries, just ask the doctor how many patients have died under his car. I'd like to see his response to that.

Already asked. He laughed and said none. Ear surgery is in the top list of the safest surgery. It has nothing to do with vital organs. Here is a pic of before...I will get better ones. They took them at the doctors office the other day and still have them on there camera.
