It took about 3 days for the shit to hit the fan, but once the ball got rolling, it was insane. A couple of stats: This version of Guru came up in Sept 2005. As of Dec 20, 2007, we had 825 members, now we have nearly 1070. In that same time period, we had accumulated about 8000 posts. As of last count, we have now just under 20k posts. That is 12k posts in about 7 weeks. Versus 8k posts in 2 years and 3 months. So yes, there has been rapid growth. You have no idea how glad I am that we went to the new host... www.cyberbite.com has been excellent!

At times, folks have taken prints of threads (from CF, I donno if it has happened here) to their mechanic to assist them in fixing their Vette. Not all mechanics are Vette specialists, so they need some direction. It doesn't mean they are bad techs, tho.

Most events I went to I was one of maybe 2 C4s, sometimes the only one, out of 20+ vettes.

One is scheduled for the Long Beach GP, but that looks real dicey right now... or, if it happens, it will be ALMS only... Champ Car is really getting hammered by IRL... Tony George has offered free cars and motors to anyone wanting to race in IRL. And IRL wants to take over LBGP... among a couple of others on the Champ Car calendar. We are in the early stages of having something in Sebring, FL during the 12 hours weekend... This would actually be a cookout at my brothers house on Friday evening, March 14th. I can't ask folks to buy race tix... At Sebring, we will be handing out Guru cards and perhaps stickers if we get them in time. Statics will come next, but stickers are easier to get going. Also, guru themed items will be available shortly. Believe me, we have a ton of things in the wings, and hopefully, they will be ready by the first of March.
