Just purchased a Steel Blue Metallic 91 Coupe with FX3, A4 and Performance Axle from the original owner. He is a retired fighter pilot and bought it new when he returned from the Gulf War. Got a real good price as the miles were a bit high at 108,000. It is completely stock and had been maintained by the dealer.
I will fly from Michigan to North Carolina on Dec 12 to drive her back home. It is not a hot rod but more of a cruiser.
I purchased a set of front 17", Rear 18" '03 Anniversary C5 champagne color wheels to put on the car for a distinctive look. Gonna go with GS D3s all around.
My plans are to have the intake machined out with a CNC machine from a vendor I met at Carlisle to increase airflow along with a Lingenfelter 219 cam and some aftermarket heads and long tubes in the near future so I can hang with the stock C5s that many of my crew here in W Michigan drive.
More news at it develops. Pray for no snow that weekend!

Nice Ron. Obviously you're not worried about the weather driving it back to Michigan. Good luck and post some pics
when you get her.

Good luck with the car. The '91 has some desirable (IMO) features aside from the benefit of 7yrs. of C4 refinement. First year ZR-1 look body, 2nd year redesigned dash, last year gen1 smallblock with the kickass looking long tube runners, p.s. cooler standard, the key off acc. delay feature, lower back pressure mufflers.... Your color '90-91 only. Only 835 made in '91.

A car like that would work well with my suit. I'm happy for you Ron. If it's been well maintained that mileage would not scare me one bit. Happy trails to you. I'll be looking for a pic of that car by a covered bridge.

Here is the link to the ad. I also bought a set of the champagne color wheels from an 03 50th Anniversary C5 and plan to put them on along with new tires for a bit of a unique look. Those wheels are a silver metallic shade with just a hint of gold.
Pray for no snow for the trip home and also pray that I win big at the slots while I am in Vegas the week after Christmas so I can afford some mods.
I met a vendor at Carlisle this year who mods the TPI intake with a CNC machine and makes it flow much better. My goal is to do heads, cam, exhaust and intake enough to allow it to keep up with most of the C5 owners in my local crew. First order of business after I install the rims is to repair the scuff to the right front lower fender.
My wife has imposed a "cash only" stipulation on this one as we are nearing retirement and don't need any more debt. Kind of a Dave Ramsey thing!
