Origin:
Hent , an ancient word, entered Old English before the year 1000 as a relative of the verbs hentan "to pursue" and huntian "to hunt."

Ah yes. CFOT. A great place to be consoled when in times of trouble, especially for the C4 owner.

All set for the storm, it's already started snowing.

Local gas station were out of gas last night with everyone filling up their cars and their gas cans for snowblowers and generators.

Happy Friday!

I'll have to remember to bring home my work laptop in case I get socked in this weekend - we could get rain or lots of snow. I hope the forecasters are overestimating the storm out east - yuk. And safe travels, Tommy!

Hunker down, Gurus!

I did get the package, thanks. I haven't had a whole lot of time to look through it much. It's sitting right on top of things on my desk.

Brad, that is one sweet 67. My favorite year is 66, but I'd take that 67. Love the color combo.

Good Morning CGs!

Dropped off RR#1 at daycare this morning and went with RR#2 to run some errands. Came home and cleaned up a bit, now had a bit of lunch. Going to pick up RR#1 soon and we'll putz around the house. Weather outside is kind of strange....not too warm, icy roads. We were supposed to get 2-8 inches of snow, but I think there was too much rain mixed in and it made a big mess.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Well, let's see what's going on in Northeast Ohio.

Just took a stroll up out of my cave to see what the weather is like, it's snowing sideways. Not heavy snow but really windy.

We have to go to the petstore tonight, "the boy" is almost out of treats. Can't let that happen.

Tomorrow we will spend the majority of the day in Cleveland. See what fun we can stir up there.

Update on the "new" car, first tank of gas averaged a tick over 18 mpg. I should be able to improve on that once the novelty and fun of a V8 wears off.

I was afraid of that.

The last "potent" V8 I had was a '65 Cutlass with a '67 425 under the hood. I've had others since then but nothing that would run like the Cutlass.

The latest:
MASSACHUSETTS

Forecasters said the storm could top Boston's record of 27.6 inches, set in 2003.

Gov. Deval Patrick told nonessential state workers to stay home Friday and ordered all non-emergency vehicles off the road by 4 p.m. The heavy, drifting snow was predicted to leave little or no visibility, making traffic extremely difficult and in many cases, impossible.

Power failures were also expected, and a flood warning was to take effect at 8 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday for the state's eastern coastline.

Most airlines planned to cease operations between noon and 4 p.m. Friday at Logan Airport in Boston. Flights were expected to restart Saturday afternoon.

I had a '65 Cutlass too, but it only had the 330 in it. I did have a '65 Starfire with the 425, loved that car. I got 7 or 8 mpg with it ;-)

I'll take the drywall over the plumbing any day.

Just got home from the games. My GS did really well. They won by 30. The varsity team lost yet another one, after leading in the fourth quarter, by 1. They just don't know how to win.
