Grats man, lately I havn't been able to win for loosing.

I've been out of work almost 2 years.

I got denied unemployment 3 times.

I got the letter saying I would get $300 stimulus, then I called when it didn't come and they said I was uneligible.

and now things are starting to break that need fixing that I can't afford, and its getting to the point where to eat I cant afford gas to go job hunting.

I'm glad to see someone caught a break tho.

Hang in there Mekanic. Hopefully this darkness means dawn is near!

Try to think some happy thoughts, if you can.

Hey Mekanic, hang in there I know what youre dealing with...If it werent for a line of credit I would have become homeless for new years this year. I was out of cash, out of work, out of things to sell, noone wanted the Z, etc etc....
Those that know me have heard of some of the crap Ive had to contend with the last 2 yrs. Lost 18 lbs this winter and it wasnt because I was needed to, put it that way..

I hope something breaks for you soon. Finding something good is extremely difficult these days, its taken me a long time.

non-CDL delivery driver /courier.

I have several skills in other areas, but my problem is my knees. My left one is pretty bad, and my right one is catching up from favoring the left, so I can't stay standing for long periods.

Thats why I got into the driving, I can pick up and carry etc. but I need to sit down for a bit after, hence why driving is perfect for me.

I have automotive experience, parts experience, and I'm an ESCO certified HVAC serviceman.

No offense meant, but if you can't find work after 2 years you aren't looking hard enough.

I know half of the companies will treat you like damaged goods and not hire you if you're already unemployed, but there are always jobs, you just have to be willing to take a few steps down the ladder.

I had an engineering degree and I was doing manual labor for a temp agency when I couldn't find work.

Think of it this way, any job is a pay raise from what you're getting now. The credit debt alone is going to take a long time to recover from even after you start working.

Did you get denied unemployment because you were fired or quit? I've known a few people who got it who weren't qualified at all.

NO offense taken, there are jobs, but my knees are not able to do manual labor anymore, even most retail is out of the question cause I can only stand about an hour or so before needing to sit. I've seen 2 docs and the prescribed the same thing.... surgery, that I can't afford.

I got denied unemployment for "insufficient wage credits."

As soon as they find out how mentally unstable and homicidal you are, you should move up quickly. Because you know all the other people working there have psychological disorders.

Naw, just found out how book dumb I am. Lots and lots of intense classroom/testing which I am horrible at. Tactical stuff is kinda fun though.

I wish you the best. You have been on my mind this week, with the new job and all. I didn't want to call cause your schedule could be wacked.

Call when you have the time, ok?

Remember the book and procedural stuff for when you get out - that's what will save your job. The tactical stuff will save your ass.

Once you get in there, you'll learn how things are really run. Don't believe people when they say "forget everything you just learned, I'll teach you how it's done..." Those are the a-holes who are always in trouble and will get you in trouble, too.

And remember, those kids lie about everything. Take everything they say with a grain of salt. Instinct is one of your best tools.

PM me if you have questions.
