Good Morning CGs!

Well, the weather reports for later are not promising. Winter storm warning begins at 3 pm and ends tomorrow at noon. Supposedly we'll get between 6-12 inches of snow in the Chicagoland area. More up North, ice storms down South. Ugh. Considering how crappy the weather was a couple days ago, I'm not looking forward to it. If you listened to the radio the next day, people were calling in to say it took them 4-6 hours to get home from work! One guy took 7.5 hours for a regular 1 hour drive. Wow. Sucks to be him.

So who wanted that snow again? Oh it's gonna be 81*, huh Tommy? Wah JK

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Wife: 'What are you doing?'
Husband : Nothing.
Wife : 'Nothing...? You've been reading our marriage certificate for an hour.'
Husband : 'I was looking for the expiration date.'

We heard a really bad weather report here today. Lucky for us it was all up north.

Har!

It was odd to commute at near normal speeds today - no ice on the road for a change. That'll change - snow later today. At least I didn't decide to take a quick trip to Las Vegas to warm up - I heard they have 3 inches of snow there.

I always have to grin when I hear about a city that gets 6-12 inches and damn near shuts down.
We call 6-12 a dusting.
Over on the hill outside my windows, the average snowfall is 42, and that's aaaaaaaaaa feet. (that hill just happens to be Donner Summit).

Should hold for a few days. The sun is out here finally. I've never seen it rain that much since I've been here in 5 years.

There may be two more storms rolling in next week. I'm hoping for a white Christmas at my dad's place.

Good Day Gurus!

My last post from my former office. And actually from my phone, as everything is packed up.

Had lunch with one of my favorite clients today. Had a blast! Now I'm just hanging out in the office for a bit, waiting for a going away party. This one is for one of the office assistants, and I. Both being laid off as of tomorrow.

Then tomorrows the going away party for the other producer that got laid off. I never partied this much when I was employed!!! WTF?

I've already got clients needing work done before the holiday, so no rest between gigs for me. Could be worse!

Enjoy what's left of the day now, ya hear?

We only got freezing rain and sleet here, and the schools were shut down before anything even happened. I don't understand. It really wasn't all that bad for most folks. Around here people freak, the grocery stores and gas stations run out of supplies everybody acts like it's the end or something.

Which reminds me....
"Driving on ice is like having sex doggie style... One little slip and you can really mess up someone's rear end."

Be careful driving this winter guys!

There are few things that amuse me more than watching southerners deal with a little bit of winter weather. It's the Chicken Little story come to life. It'd also be a good time to be a body shop owner because the mofos can't drive in it either.

Also amusing, heading over that previously mentioned Donner Summit in the snow, driving a reasonable 35-40, watching the 4 wheel drives from the flatland trying to go 55, trying to pick which ones will crash and waving to them in the ditch as you drive by.
