Where's the poll, Tommy? Lol.

I'd say D since I've feel like I've fixed every wear/maint item on this damn car and now it's time for the motor!

That's what I was playing with but as usual I screwed it up.
This is what I ended up with.

I may jinx myself but in 5 years, just an opti. And one alternator but, that's a maintainence item.

The only money I spend on the 92 is for gas.

Or does your wife of 38 years think your spending more time with your vette then her.. Dr. Phil would probably respond that I'm not thoughtful, non caring, I need to get in touch with my interself,or maybe I need rehab in the Henry Ford Hospital which recently relocated in Bowling Green,or that yeng-yang is not working! Maybe that yeng-yang thing is whats causing my rough idle!!

I just have a 1/2 dozen problems that some of you guys would be glad if that was all they had to deal with. A/C control buttons dont work. A/C system has a slow leak. Hard to get it repaired if the tech can't operate the buttons. Slave cylinder that was repaired two years ago is leaking again. Antenna inop and of course I still have to do the left front air bag sensor and my low mile 5 year old tires are weather cracking. That and the need for paint on both the Vettes. I'm just sitting on them right now waiting for the temps to ease up a little. Then I'll have to go at the problems one at a time. Who rebuilds the climate control modules? I guess the first thing to do is to take it out and send it off. That's why I was glad you said what you said the other day Andy. Little by little it will all get done. I was seriously thinking of trading it on a Challenger, Charger Daytona or a Camaro till I looked at the prices. Newer Vettes were priced better than those suckas. And repairing my C4 is the best deal on the block. Speaking of blocks ...............

Depends what broke, if it was a fuel leak that got down onto the headers and melted the front end off I'd be happy !
If the rack and pinion went out that would just be shitty.

A few thoughts:

1. The AC control could either be a bad controller or programmer.
2. The leak will be fixed with #1.
3. What is the antenna doing? does it run? if so, it needs a new mast, more than likely.
4. Get the NAPA slave. I got one and it's NICE. It's a cast piece... no welds to leak. Very solid construction.

Contact vette2vette.com for the various AC parts. Get a Helm manual if you don't already have one.

As for the new cars... they are expensive.

So do you Matt. So do you. Hell I think we all deserve one. But the most I'd want to finance would be about 25K. That's about $500 a month. Just about what I pay in repair fee's.

I did ask... If I replaced my 92 with an 05 coupe, it would go from $900 a year to $1300 a year. I can deal with that.

I just don't want the $500 a month payment.

I could deal with $500 a month. It would have to be my only car. But a $45,000 total payment at 7% over 72 months is $767 a month. Ugh.

A.

Haven't been here much this summer. Mandatory 6 day work weeks and fun stuff to squeeze in in what's been left haven't been giving me much free time for the internet.

Hope all is well for you guys.

I've been really lucky with both the '71 and '88 as far as mechanical stuff goes. Just routine maintenance stuff really.
