The new obd3 will be equipped with a sat link. As well as all new cars produced from June 2011 have black boxes. CC the tracker is NOT LEGAL in CA .

In the face of a full-on revolt from users and pressure from Drudge Report and other media outlets, General Motors' OnStar service just announced it was reversing plans to keep tracking vehicles of its 6 million subscribers if they cancel the service. Now once it's off, it's off.
OnStar said it wanted to keep the connection alive to offer new services and alert vehicle owners in case of emergency or recalls but also said it reserved the right to share or sell anonymous data about the vehicles it tracked to outsiders, including government agencies and marketers.

Loosing elevator control on a Unlimited, makes for very unstable flight controls. That answers the question for his last attempt gain control.

The panel that is currently available from madvet and others is less than (IMO) visually pleasing. They're asking 49 for that piece.
So I'm looking at a short run of 20 or so pieces that will offset the initial tooling costs. Then we can start repoping other C4 parts.

Back in my days as a helicopter mech we used a paste developed by the aerospace groups that was a compound of dielectric grease and aluminum filings. After cleaning and sanding the grounding point and the terminal ends we brushed a small amount on each terminal end. Then tightened the screw/nut/bolt. The grounding point was finalized by brushing a coat of lacquer over the entire connection to seal it from water and elements. Done correctly, these points were bullet proof for years. All the engine compartment grounds are finished in this fashion on Rose.

OMG now the rest of the country will be feeling the rath of Kaliforinas earthquake retro fits for all public buildings.
Don't think its gonna be easy or cheap. Maybe the great and powerful O can capitalize on this and create more govt jobs like he did in Washington state! Ya know 20 million to retrofit homes that would create 2000 new jobs. Then a year later 3 homes were completed and 14 jobs created. But...... where did the money go?????? Well son,
I listened to Jimi Hendrix, Who, Led Zepplin and the like when the bands played 'em in local theatres/concerts. Hung around the showrooms and sat in new those "Muscle Cars" when they were brand new, affordable and smelled beautiful! Graduated HS in 70. I could gas up, take my date out for a show and later a burger/fries/coke all for a $5 dollar bill. Protested the war in Chicago at the DNC in 68. For those of us that have touched, tasted, seen and smelled those times, today sometimes seems like a big waste of time.

My greatest moments crusing came when the car showrooms would throw a set of dealer tags on a new 396 Chevelle or Hemi-Cuda or Superbird or AMX Rebel or a Z28 and let'em loose on Woodward Saturday nites. Friday nites were bitchin too.
Oh I yearn for the summers of 68 & 69 again.

I had to do some searching for Vinsetta's and now understand why it didn't ring a bell. I ran Woodward during the late 60's when the big three were having HP Wars. Lots of fond memories for sure. But we stayed to north of 14. Most of the heavies stayed above Big Beaver. Grew up in Troy. Got drafted. Never returned. Maybe a "Dream Cruise" next year.

Andy, if you have not already done this I'd suggest adding a few more lateral supports under the plywood. Thats a big surface area to depend on the ply to support. Maybe one for every 14-18" from the base of your ramp to the far wall.

A lot of the original Mother Road still exists in CA to AZ.
Kinda rough in places but I still remember those curves as a kid (1960) riding in Dads 56 Chevy from Detroit to LA. He would never pull over so I could chip off the exposed Turquoise rock from the road construction. And we missed the Giant Squid, Ball of Rubber Bands and other fun stops. So when wifey and I traveled 66 recently, we stopped at every turn in the road! :cheers:
