Is it just me or is this whole Black Friday thing getting a little out of hand.
All I can say is that if people are getting up for stores opening at 3am, I'm staying off the road! |

My wife never gets to bed. Does the thanksgiving thing, showers, and heads out around 11pm so she can get in the lines.

Yeah, it's crazy. Why would you get up so early, wait in line to buy an item for three hours, go wait in another line for an hour just pay, and only save a couple extra bucks??? Screw that! I'll get my sleep, wait to the day before Christmas and get whatever is left or marked down!
 It's overrated. If you look at some of the adds the markdowns aren't that great........ |

Here the bars close at 2AM and the stores open at 3AM. Makes perfect sense to me.

I want to pick up a 22" LCD TV for the kitchen. Waiting for the right time to purchase. Radio Shack has one for $199. Just don't want a Coby or Craig. Might wait till after New Year. No big rush.

I do most of my shopping online. Plus, most of the "sales" they have will be reoffered at some point in the near future. Do you want to go to the store to get the great deal on that plasma tv at 4 am along with 600 other people, only to find out the ad had fine print that said "4 per store, no rainchecks" BS

We have one store here opening at 2am. Completely nuts. I'd rather pay full price than be trampled to death. I used to think it was fun and enjoyed the deals and stuff, but that was before people started literally killing each other by trampling them and stuff. Nothing is worth that.
