Good Morning CGs!

Well, here is March! But the heavens didn't part and bring with them the warmth of spring. Darn it. Still colder than a witch's titty here. Well, not quite as bad as last month, but I wouldn't recommend shorts and a t-shirt quite yet.

My buddy is putting the heat on me to pull the motor. I'm feeling it. It's always easier, of course, to tell someone else what to do on their own car than to actually do it yourself!!! I'm still waiting for the intake so I can gasket match it. I'd like to drop it all off at the builder together.

So any news from anyone?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good Morning Gurus!

It's back to work this morning. I'm trying to figure out where I left off last week. I have a couple hours scheduled this morning to record some narrations for a course I'm working on and then plan a video shoot tomorow for the same course. I don't say much about my job here, but sometimes its fun. I like recording and editing the narrations I use in my courses. Its a diversion from actually authoring the coursware. Sometimes I do the narrations myself and at other times I get some other talent to do the voice work.
I also do the video recording and editing and graphics development for each course. I can get myself around Flash pretty well but I have a co-worker that is a guru with ActionScript and she does a lot of my Flash work if I need something beyond my capabilities. Typically a customer brings me a stack of policies and procedures and says "We want a web-based course". I then got to weed through the pile and determine what the course objectives are etc etc etc and then build the damn thing. Most times there are no Subject Matter Experts or at best little communication with someone so it can be frustrating at times.

Looking forward to 4PM already! LOL

Do you know what takes more lives each year than breast cancer and AIDS combined?... me either UNTIL it happened to me back in Sept. ... The answer DVT or deep vein thrombosis. March is national DVT awareness month DVT's can cause fatal blood clots folks. for me it was 2 pulmonary embolism's one in each lung.. I though I was getting the flu and felt congested..8 days later I knew better and how lucky I was ...some 300,000 americans die from empolisms each year most related to DVT.. I hope you all learn some more about DVT .. oh and by the way 3 days after I left the hospital I started to build my hot rod and vowed to enjoy my life each and every day. Readers Digest has a nice article on this in the March issue

Good luck 'Livin'. Those blood thinners (rat poison)are a bitch. Keep your dose properly regulated. I'm stiff as a board from crawling under the car yesterday.

Morning guys(gals)...The daughter is getting ready to go to the hospital, sometime early this afternoon we'll have grand daughter #5 (9 total with the 4 boys). We finished up everything on the remodel just in time. It's amazing what a little pressure can accomplish.

I'll go home tomorrow, but the wife is staying here for another week and a half to help out, so I'll be batching. We brought two cars so she'll have a vehicle while she's here. I have a busy week once I get back. Our school is hosting the sub-state basketball tournament and I run the clock for all the games, so we have games Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

While the wife is gone I have plans to do some work on the Corvette. With her car gone, I can drop the lift down and leave it down for several days, so it makes it much easier/convenient to do the work.

Well, that's my report this morning, everyone have a great day, and I'll report back later with a (hopefully) picture of the new grand daughter.

Got in a lot of garage time this weekend, finished an electric headlight conversion that volzfan and I have been working on all winter.

If all goes as planned and the weather cooperates, it will hit the road again Saturday, first time since November. Got to try out the 700R4 and the (hopefully) much improved rear suspension.

I'm so ready for Spring.

Congrats, indeed! Hopefully Vivienne will be enjoying her first ride in a Corvette very soon!

The thermometer registered a balmy 41 degrees on the way home tonight. Shirley summer can't be far off ;-)

So you're saying your coworker flashes you? If she can't figure something out, does she go to ActionScript-guru.com?
